Beware of Appliance Direct in Daytona Beach!  They delivered to me a new (not scratch and dent) in-the-box from the factory, Whirlpool dishwasher that is defective.  When the dishwasher was installed, water flooded my kitchen.  They sent a repairman who inspected the dishwasher and ordered parts and said the repair would be completed in 2 weeks.  We were told the repair is very minor.  It's been 4 weeks and we are still waiting.  We later discovered that a new motor pump was ordered.  Minor repair?  We asked Appliance Direct to deliver a new dishwasher and were told that they do not have a policy to deliver a new product once a delivery has been made.  A consumer should expect to get a new product that works, not one that needs to be repaired!!  Appliance Direct told me to contact Whirlpool who also told me that they do not have a program to "upgrade" a product once it is delivered. This is not an upgrade!  Whirlpool obviously has no quality control program when they send a dishwasher with a defective motor pump to a supplier.  Appliance Direct does not care about its customers.   I notice from reading complaints that I'm not the only consumer complaining about new defective products being delivered by Appliance Direct.  If they continue along this path, they will be out of business in a few years.  I lost $480 plus tax dealing with them!  I filed a complaint with the BBB.  Others who were ripped off also filed BBB complaints.
