The company's management specifically told us about how their job is to simplify lives and help people to live intelligently. The management really wants every person who buys a system to feel valued. The concern for each customer's experience starts at the top, and is reflected in the action of every employee they hire.
The company also works to monitor their sales and customer support calls to see how they can be improved. They use these calls as examples for employees in training. Currently, Vivint is working to make changes to their contracts to make things easier for their customers as they have found that many of their complaints stem from feeling misled or customers paid fees they did not feel they authorized.Ripoff Report Verified .. part of Ripoff Report Corporate Advocacy Business Remediation & Customer Satisfaction Program.A program that benefits the consumer, assures them of complete satisfaction and confidence when doing business with a member business..Statements from company executives

APX Alarm Buyer Beware of Company Salesmen's Misrepresentation Tactics in Florida Provo Utah
Salesman came to the door offering a free home security system for displaying a sign in our front yard. We asked what the catch was. He said no catch, we were chosen randomly to participate in an advertisement campaign. The only obligation would be to keep the sign displayed as long as we had the security system. That's how he got in the front door.
He placed a telephone call and within minutes a man with tools and equipment began installing the system. (The sensors fell off the windows within a week).
He began talking about the alarm service. He said that the system would be removed if we decided to cancel the alarm service. He said the amount of money we would save on our homeowners insurance would pay for the service. Untrue, the insure company only gave us $161.00 credit. We were told the service was to be for a year. Untrue, the fine print of the contract indeed said 60 months.
We have had several power outages whereas the alarm company made no attempt to contact us.
We were never told that we would have to obtain a permit from the local authorities to use the service before signing the contract. There is a recurring annual fee for the permit.
Called the company to cancel the service since the equipment didn't work anyway and they weren't responding when they should have been. To our surprise they said we must pay the full amount remaining of a 5 year contract to cancel or declare bankruptcy.
