APX alarm company is a complete fraud!!!! I reccommend no one to go get sucked into their lies and decit. At first my husband and I had the Brinks home security installed at our previous home and had absoultely no issues with them, but once we moved to the Orlando area, we were approached by two APX alarm sales men who basically said they wanted to use our house as a promotional site.
They promised to have the alarm equipment installed in our home for free, and we were to pay an initial $99.00 application/start up fee. They promised to install a wireless alarm system but when they installed they're "wirless" system they drilled a hole through the wall leading into the gargage and ran the wire down to the power oulet beneath the actual keypad. Why didn't I notice! Well I was upstairs trying to unpack from the newly move. It was too late when I noticed, what could I do the holes were already there. These sales men also said that the monthly payments would have to come out on an automatic basis, so I gave them my checkings account information.
Big Mistake!!!! The first month was fine until I checked my banking account information. This company took out three months of payments in one shot. I immediately contacted the company but it got me nowhere, I was told that I signed a contract and we could not cancel unless we paid three thousand dollars. My husband asked to speak to a manager, and that got him nowhere also. He was rude and treated us as if we were dumb. He began reading the contract to us one word at a time pausing in between every word.
I was so aggravated and done with him, that I hung up and called back in order to get another representative on the phone. Well a woman picked up the phone and when I asked if I could speak to a manager she told me "Well I'll see if he wants to speak to you". I got extremely mad and frustrated and said "what do you mean I'm paying your company, he better get on the phone!" She had the nerve to say to me "What do you think just because he a manager he has time to talk on the phone all day, he has other things to do" My mouth dropped I've never been treated so rudely by a company. I told them to pick up the equipment in one piece or I'll send it to them in pieces. I had to close my bank account and reopen another account. This company is a ripp off, do not trust this company at all. They are full of lies, and by the way, no where in the contract did it say they were going to take out three months, and then continue monthly payments.
