arc sold my relative a mobile home home in 12/2004 in Conklin ny and never checked the NY STATE LAWS THAT ALL MOBILE HOMES FROM 1995 AND NEWER MUST HAVE A TITLE AND BE FREE OF ALL LIENS , my brother in law paid them with a check, but the original sales person told us when we went to see it(my hubby and me) that ARC could not come down on the price because they had to pay off the bank , this home was filed in bankruptsy from the other owner and the trailer was left and ARC bought the mobile home park from BLUE RIDGE SUPPOSELY IN A PACKAGE DEAL. ARC WAS GIVEN A PAPER WITH a list of mobile homes , the ones that were under a 1995 said title not needed and ours said NO title which they should of checked into before selling,( this we found out after we had paid our portion off to our relative) we had paid my brother in law off for the loan he entered with us after buying the mobile home, after we paid it off a concern upon him came up about if there were any additional papers beside the paper contract he signed with arc, ARC said they were told they could sell this this way,(reg contract) I'VE YET TO SEE WHAT THEY DID WITH THE MONEY, BECAUSE THERE IS STILL A LIEN ON THE TITLE, THE TITLE WAS ABLE TO BE TRANSFERRED from them to my brother in law with some xtra steps, now its in his name and the lien is still there, and dmv cannot remove it still they get proof it was paid off with a court order from a judge, the original Bank whos lean still remains on the title has gone out of business, (associates Housing Finance which we cannot even find out who might of took those loans over since they had the loan on the home at the time of filing bankruptsy) so almost $30,000 has been payed on this mobile home between Arc, my brother in law and us, he can transfer the title but the lean again remains and if we sold it no bank will give a loan because of not knowing if truly there is money owed, and we would get sued by whomever bought it and if the bank came back to get it s which we think ARC never paid the loan off, if they had the bank would release the title, they lied and said they did not know there was a lien, but the salesman told us something different , we can never move or follow our dreams to be with our family in Sc, my hubby is disabled . and i am only able to work part time because of the job situation, we are so beside ourselves , do not know where to go for help or what to do, we probably have no choice but to start a lawsuit and hope we can get help with the $$$$ needed for that. All our hard working money is gone down the drain, we are so stressed out and sick that a company would assume they could do there transactions like this, (we truly believe they knew what they were doing was shady and wanted to unload this on a sucker!!! Since then they sold the park. Someone is going to give our money back! we will fight to the end !!!!!!
