ON 11-10-08 I got a letter and bill from Aspire. I had recently paid off the balance on this card by transfering to a lower interest card I finally qualified for.Meanwhile I had also made 100$ payment on the account. So I get a letter that is not very well put together stating my account has been closed or TERMINATED as they say, which is fine by me , how ever that was not the plan i was not going to use it but was going to leave it open as that is what credit advisors say to do.Then I open my statement and see i still have an account and a credit line higher than the letter said, also the letter said i had wnet over my limit which my limit is 3500$ and I only had 2600$ on it , someone needs a math class that is not over limit. I have a credit balance of 99.90 that i want back since i cant use the "closed card".I agree their web site is sorriest excuse for one i have ever seen, seems to me that they would put something on it saying they are discontiuing credit card programs???I tried calling them on two different 800# for hours and it kept hanging me up after punching in all the info they ask for. I sent email to customer service email address which i got a computer generated replies too , however i finally get thru on the phone today and I cant understand a word of what the Customer Service people said to me????they can not speak english, yes like reading a script, so I am still in doubt if I will get refund and NO they did not answer my questions as to why I am being terminated, is everyone being terminated and how is this going on my credit report?In the past I have express mailed a payment to avoid "late" fees and they charged me but when i called i got credit cause i could prove it was there.I am glad this is over with them , except if or when i get my $$ back.
But isnt someone over them , can they just do this to people who did nothing wrong???If this was my only card this would cause hardship as I am sure it will to some people.
