The New ? AT&T Cingular is no better than the old AT&T or Cingular Wireless
Wireless air-card connections, have not improved in more than a year.
When Cingular introduced the so-called 3G service more than one and a half years ago, they did not say to the customers that it would not be in all areas until you called and filed a customer service complaint.
What was touted as 3G was actually 2G in many cities as they begun to build and upgrade their network. The consistant drop connections were terrible. After dealing with Cingular customer service last year and getting
some monetary credits they said I could break my two year contract, as they would not give me any more credit. In other words they admitted that their 3G was not all over as they claimed in their representation in selling me the service.
Now after the past two months since Cingular became AT&T again I noticed the GSM wireless service for the internet connection went from bad to worse. After constantly clicking the communication manager
for updates and finding none after one year, I am told by phone today to download from the internet? That I was using a 5.1 version and AT&T Cingular is up to a 6.3 version, biy what a relief until I tried the new version which is as bad if not worse top connect to. So I decided to call the customer service and ask for a monetary discount from an already expensive 59.00 a month unlimited service. Boy was that a treat,
The first darling said she could offer me a $30 credit on $120 a two months credit, then asked if I wanted to speak to a supervisor, because thats "all
she can offer" .
Well was I in for a surprise, when I discussed this with the supervisor she said " There is no more she could do and the offer is off the table since I had refused the first offer from her subordinate" Well, no one said
behind door number 1 or door # 2 ! In other words I felt like I was just treated to a stone cold auto financing take it ot leave it closing..
Beware AT& T Cingular customers if you ask to speak to customer service you just make be in for a big surprise. If you get the supervisor they will reject your issue sound compassionate and reject your claim as well you were online and no other service guarantees good connections.. What?
I left off with I will find a new service tommorrow and Thank you very much for no customer service. My time with ATT / Cingular/ AT& T Cingular has been 8 years as a cell phone customer, and two years as a wireless customer
If they cannot give me service I cannot stand to be taken advantage of
Please beware when you call ask them first if this your final offer
Obviously they were thinking of the game who wants to be a milliionaire not who wants to be a loyal customer !
