I have been a AT&T wireless customer for ten years plus and I am not sure if I am more out off by the deceptive practices or terrible customer service. We have a family plan. My upgrade was in September of 2013 and my sons was October 2013. This was confirmed online and in the store when I upgraded my line. I talked to the sales associate for 5 minutes about upgrading his line in December instead of Octobet for Christmas. I go back in December to upgrade his line and it has been changed to end of March 2014.

I call their terrible customer service line and all they keep saying is that it is two years from that line'a anniversary for upgrade and they act like I am lying about it being eligible in October. They tell me to take it up with the retail store. So I call that location and they said they are sorry there is nothing they can do there about it if it changed and to call customet service.  I call customer service and they transfer me to some special department who tells me the same thing to call the retail store.

I wait a few days to cool off and call the retail store and I am again told to call customer service so I do that. This time demanding a Supervisor or Manager since no one can answer a simply question.  Why did a line that was eligible for upgrade two months ago change and is now eligible at the end of March 2014. The Supervisor Rob was borderline rude. He was arrogant and the way he spoke and kept repeating himself made me determine he is either an idiot or was trained to intentionally irritate customers. At this point I am willing to pay any amount of money to leave AT&T.

They lie to their customers and mislead them with their upgrade dates and when you call then out on it NO ONE takes accountability and ownership at this company. I think they must believe they have a monopoly and can do as they please. It makes me sad because I have been a loyal AT&T customer for 10+ years and have always been happy until now. On a sidenote a coworker of mine had the same problem and their proper upgrade was reinstated and honored... So I guess there are different rules depending on who you talk to at this company. Guess I didn't get the right onea that had any common sense.  Good riddance AT&T.
