My husband and I have today, March 20, 2008, just received notice from our mortgage company, that effective April 1, 2008, the servicing of our account is being assigned, sold, or transferred to AURORA LOAN SERVICES!!!

We are retired and on a fixed income. After researching our new "mortgage servicer", we are terrified about what is going to take place!

We have been reading about all the horrible financial problems that have occured with others that found themselves in the same circumstances.

I contacted their customer service line and was told to "refinance with another lender, that is your only recourse!!"Unfortunately, that is not an option for us.

HELP! What have others been able to do after all is said and done!!!??

I guess we will have to contact an attorney and hope for the best.
