A decorative aluminum valve cap became fused onto the brass stem. I managed to remove two by force and snapped the third off. Naturally a new valve stem had to be installed. When I explained this faulty item to Autozone they offered no recourse. An email to corporate got no response whatsoever. I now have one wheel that I cannot check the tire pressure until this is resolved.

I have suggested to all automotive retailers that they need to remove this item from their shelves because of my experience. None will listen. Profit is king my friends, greed is the norm.

This is common with all aluminum valve caps... no matter where you buy them. They have a tenancy to get stuck. I've seen it a lot of times, had them stuck on my vehicles also. My advice would be not to go with aluminum or put anti-seize on the threads.

Are you sure it wasn't vandalism? If it was a widespread problem AutoZone would have pulled the product from its shelves. I suggest you contact the manufacturer listed on the package. They may have more info.

PE pro elite extreme duty car cover, Budget Car Cover, Auto Zone Over the past 10 years I have purchased over 10 car covers in which all of them have fell apart within 6 months of purchased, in the past Auto Zone had no problem with the in store policy of bringing the product in for direct exchange, now that the policy has changed I have to go directly to the manufacturer which is Budget Cover and are PE Pro Elite, this product is defective and should not be sold on the market under a lifetime warranty if the company and the retailer are not going to stand by that warranty, (Where do we go from here as a customer). At this point I am still trying to receive a new cover under the lifetime warranty for my vehicle, if you could possibly resolve this problem it would be greatly appreciated, due to the fact that I am not going to spend anymore money to purchase a product that was guaranteed for life, thank you. nothing Orange California

Eric towing Fortworth I was moving from where I live so I moved my 2004 Volkswagen Jetta, but the car died. We moved it to a business parking lot with no signage or note on cars being towed. Took the battery to auto zone. I picked up the battery but decided to finish moving. On Tuesday October 13, 2015 after dropping my kids in school. I checked on it. There was still no sign on the car to move it or a tow sign in the area. I called a friend of mine, Brian and we were going to move it that evening. I drive to the location by 6.00 pm to wait for Brian. My car was not there and a sign just appeared from no where on the property. I called them to put my car back. The lady gave me an email address but I needed to research and get legal help against this ripoff. Fortworth Tx

Mega Motors I paid $300 the first time & i really needed the car to get back & foward to my job fir a while, when i pulled off of the lot the car immediately stopped, i turned it back on & went to put gas into it then realized the engine was shaking horrible, i then made a call to let them know what was going on while i was at the gas station, after leaving the gas station i went to auto zone t& pad $175 for the stuff i needed to get a tune up, after i left i went home & didnt go anywhere else , i woke up the next morning & the car would not start, i tried getting a boost & i didnt work so i called mega motors & they had the car towed, i never got the car back because i had to pay to get everything fixed plus the whole car note & i only had it for 2 days Dallas Texas
