my husband and i did bancrupcy a few years back and needed a computer and without credit we had no choice but to use aarons rent to own... i will say, that their customer service was great. i fullfilled my contract and paid off my debt in full.
the laptop i got was efficient...it did its job in the beginning. now mind u, i never let my son use this pc, never has it been dropped, scratched, bumped, or even roughly closed within the year i possessed it. directly after i paid it off, which was a little over a grand...i started having issues before the year was up. the pc wouldnt allow itself to be put in stand-by mode and if you did, u would have to reboot the entire pc. i did what i was suppose to, i called aarons, hp, and mircrosoft. they helped me the first time. however, in the end,my warranty was up by only a few monthes, so they werent of any use. my husband would just have to take the back of the battery out and jury rig it to turn on.
the last blow came when my son was home sick and i was on laptop. it worked fine all morning. went to go turn it on and it wouldnt power up. the light was on, but no power was getting anywhere. when the hubby couldnt work his magic, i took it in to a pc repair shop where they, in front of me, tried all kinds of connectors, plug ins, etc to locate issue, turns out it is the motherboard to the pc. after a year, really? wow.. i was horrified when they told me it would be around 400 dollars not including labor. and after looking at different prices and comparing, i knew it wasnt a joke price. but why would i fix it when i couldve gotten a new pc with a warranty for the same price. i had to pay them 38 dollars to transfer harddrive info to a disk. so im out over a grand. i was and am sick. i understand products crap out, i get it, im not ignorant..i do beleive in values and whats right is right and whats crap is crap. and i also understand from a business standpoint, that this is how they make money. they purchase crappy merchandise and sell it for a ridiculous amount of money to people that have NO choice in the matter. does it make it right? h*ll no....does it make me a mad patriot...hell yes. not only did i lose faith in the american dream, ive learned a valuable lesson....never settle for crap...if i need it that bad, ill save my money to get what i need and pay cash. im just downhearted that these kinds of things are ok and acceptable. standards and morals have been so badley rewritten that this is why Jesus is coming back to kill us all. yes, i am mad. im mad that my pc is done, gone. but, the light is, i actually bought a dell, a good product with years of warranty....
thank you

What exactly is the issue? How long after your warranty expires do you expect them to fix your computer?
How many months is "a few"? 2? 4? 7?
