8:01 pm this evening William (the account idiot, I mean manager) called my home waking my two sleeping children up. When asked where my account summary was, he states "it doesn't matter." What is that? When asked for his regional managers name and phone number he told me I could call him (Shawn), "but it's not like he'll do anything."
Harrasing phone calls 4 to 6 times a day, even when I leave constant messages for them. As they are never available to talk when I call back. I will even leave after hours voice mails as sometimes I dont have time to call back during the day.
They tell me there are notes on my account, that I never called in and said. Yet, the things that I have called in about noone seems to have any record of.
Aarons gives you nothing in writing after you sign your agreement, they always avoid doing anything in writing. You might get your monthly statement in the mail, however it will always be the same no matter if you paid extra the month before or less. Or you owe a late fee, it never shows up on the bill. But they want you to pay it. It's like giving money to a mystery.
Last week when I spoke to Adam (another Aarons idiot) he first told me we owed a full months payment, then he changed his story and said a half months payment, then it went to $40 and he ended with saying we owed $50 to keep us current until Dec 1st.
Not sure what this Shawn guy will tell me tomorrow, or if he will even call me back.
Is there anyone out there that wants to start a class action lawsuit against Aarons sales and leasing???? I would really be in on that. They have shady practices.
If we weren't 15 months into a contract that's nearly paid off they would have our washer and dryer back tomorrow.

My husband and I were renting a sectional couch and TV from the Aarons store located in Beaverton. One day I got a flyer in the mail for something along the lines of one free payment.. Keep in mind this was near the holidays and I was a excellent customer. I took the nice little flyer into the store and they told me that was in fact not the case and that it was only on new leases that you got the free month.. I said SHOW me where it states that on this flyer... there was no fine print to be read and no if you get another lease going then you get one month free.. it was just simply stated as a customer appreciation..
BTW I ended up getting a free month because I threatened to sue and report the store owner for false advertisment. He also called the guy that they "supposedly" used to create and print the flyers to have him correct the mistake.. I only got that free month after a few hours in the store and over the phone trying to explain to the idiot manage what his own flyer said and that it in FACT WAS FALSE advertisement on his part since he stated that he was the one who decided what the flyers said before they go to the print guy.
These people will take you for everything you have if you let them.. Dont be fooled be educated.
I also ran into the issue of getting the run around from the managers and asking for district managers numbers and so forth.. I ended up calling a portland location because the manager of the beaverton location down right refused to give me any number of someone above him. He also had the nerve of trying to say we were one month behind until I shut him up with EVERY receipt from payments that I had made. Getting anything in writing from them is extremely difficult and I think they need to be a little more customer friendly and realize people want documents to back up what they say so they dont look crazy when they are pissed they didnt get something they were entitled to receive.
I certainly will NEVER deal with any aarons ever again. That store manager angered me so badly that I forced him to transfer me to the aloha location and then when I went in to pay my payment I found out he hadnt done it so I had to have the manager call him and tell him to do his job. He had the nerve to ask the manager to speak to me and the argued with me about the transfer I told him that I wanted the transfer of my account and that he was a liar and didnt deliver on services promised like ordering legs for my sectional since the one I got had damaged ones and they never fixed them. I never got the legs the aloha store manager ended up just replacing my whole sectional with a new one of the exact model.
Aloha is a great store but beaverton SUCKS he should be shut down.

This evening at 8:55 pm, I was asleep when Damion the store manager called me to state "per Shawn Hutton they were no longer allowed to take checks from me." Also, that I needed to come in to "discuss my payoff." I have made it very clear that I have no time in my day to be driving across town to talk to mumbling idiots about my account. They never give me straight answers, why on earth would I waste my time going to see them.
*Previous, but since my last report when I first taked to Shawn Hutton he had promised to get someone to drop off my account summary at my house. He had promised that it would be no longer than noon. I waited until after 2 and noone showed up. During the 4 hours I was gone it was dropped at our door. This is just another example of the promises made and broken.
