I own a boutique advertising agency located in Dallas, TX. Absolute Hyundai hired me to plan their TV Advertising and Marketing. Even though I brought them more customers than they had seen in a long time, and all advertising was approved by Ray Monks (General Manager) before it was booked with the TV stations, Ray decided to stop paying my invoices.

Because my invoices didn't paid in full, I can't cover the cost of all their TV commercials. TV stations are also trying to collect their past due. I've been told by a TV station that their accounting department contacted Ray Monks regarding collection and was told Absolute Hyundai paid the entire amount to me and I was supposed to pay the TV station, not Absolute Hyundai. He ran my name through the mud calling me a thief and a crook.

A manager at the dealership confided in me that Ray Monks laughed at my collection efforts, saying "I don't need to pay her. She's a small shop and can't afford to take any action against me."

I'm sure Absolute Hyundai has no intention of paying me, and is trying to get the TV stations to collect his past due balances from me instead of him.

If Absolute Hyundai really did send a check that got lost in the mail or something, it would be easy for their accounting department to produce a check stub, or cancel and reissue a check, but so far they haven't.

If you're currently doing any business with Absolute Hyundai, I would be very careful. This disaster has cost me much more than just the unpaid invoice amounts - working with Ray Monks has damaged my reputation, hurt my business, caused me to loose sleep, cost me medical bills, taken funds right out of my daughter's piano lesson and food off my table.

This was Advertizing Agency that was paid in full on every invoice and agreement that was made. They were Fired, because they were not paying the stations for the advertizing we paid them for. We do not and will not to continue to do business with a company that has poor Financial Responsiblities as they were. Our guess , based on this, our payments were funding their personal expenses and not thier business expenses. We are a rated A++ company with the better business bureau. I welcome anyone to check this company rating before placing any value in this statement. We have since moved on in using a professional company for our advertizing needs.

The real reason I am writing this is to try and get in touch with the original poster. I currently have legal counsel and am in the process of returning my vehicle. Why am I returning it. Well, in short, they sold me a Certified Pre-owned vehicle that had been wrecked. The car fax was clean and I did not notice the damage because it was behind the bumper which had unknowingly to me, been removed and painted. The only indication I had that something was wrong was that the cruise control would not engage on the way home. An indicator light in the dash would come when I tried to engage it for a bad sensor. No big deal right? Come to find out, the Smart Cruise Control module is mounted behind the bumper on the Radiator Support Bracket that was also damaged. You would never know this unless you put the vehicle on the lift, but I never thought I would have to do that with a car that had just a little over 23k miles and Certified Pre-owned.  I won't even get into the details of how the sales experience went but let me say this, I have been deployed twice and this tops the level of stress I went through and continue to go through.

If you have had a similar experience please email me at: charles.connell@gmail.com. I would love to hear your stories as your information might be helpful in portraying Absolute's true character when I go to court.

My advice is to stay away from these people.
