The company handling the rebate is www.rebateshq.com, but the problem should be with Absolute Software, aka Computrace, aka LoJack. After about 30 minutes on the phone trying to find who to contact, they finally corrected it. Only when I check my rebate status online, they say it is for $10.
So I had to call again. Another 20 minutes.
After looking into this rebate company www.rebateshq.com, I found that they often do not honor rebates that are valid. In fact I would not be surprised if this ordeal I've been through is common place.
After searching for www.rebateshq.com on the net, I find that they are a very untrustworthy company.
If you buy an item with a rebate and the rebate company is rebateshq.com, you will more than likely have a difficult time getting the money.
