They do not have tech support 24/7-in fact, we routinely waited an hour to hour and a half for someone to answer our calls (all while not being able to ring up our customers)- Often, messages were left and we had to wait for a return call.
We were told/sold the software would be tailored to our Wine/ Spirits business, it was not. The "custom" screen was definitely designed by someone who had NEVER spent 10 minutes in retail. Too many screens, not enough proper options on main screen. (We were told we could fix this after purchase via Accupos computer programmer.) The software doesn't even have a count option of items!!!!! (let alone a total before the "pay" screen.)
As for tech support, A joke. Period. Rude, totally clueless, condesending and incompetent. Don't dare ask for Anthony, when he finds out you know more than him about software/hardware configuration, he will probably hang up on you. They blamed the hardware (that they recommended) on the issues, I can assure you, our hardware works flawlessly with our new software.
We removed Accupos after a year-it was a total loss financially. Accupos never upheld the terms of the support contract and actually wanted to charge us, when problems (that they never fixed) remained problematic after our year contract. Why would they charge if they couldn't fix them in the first place?
The staff at our store has over 150 years of combined restaurant/retail/bar experience and we all agree this was the absolute worst POS system that we had ever tried to use.
Also, after being told we could use any Merchant Services, we found out (2 days before we went live) we had one option with a processor. Really?????
Accupos is a rip-off, DON'T PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Accupos also failed to mention in their rebuttal, that we had to secure an attorney to make them return our phone calls.
We welcome anyone to contact us if they would like a more detailed description of the year-long nightmare we endured.

The client purchased our software in April of 2011; this complaint was dated January of 2013. I bring this to attention because we explicitly inform all clients of our thirty-day return policy. Moreover, this policy is clearly stated in the contract the client signed. This complaint was filed after a span of nearly two years.
As the client states below, they did not purchase the hardware through our company. I cannot speak to the "other source" we allegedly recommended as I did not work at the company at this time; however, since commencing my employment with Attitude Positive we have continuously recommended purchasing our hardware directly. In fact, we routinely caution against ordering hardware from other sources since we cannot guarantee compatibility. Additionally, we clearly state that we cannot guarantee the customization referenced below if the client purchases hardware through a third party, authorized ISOs notwithstanding.
In response to the technical support complaint, the client was enrolled in a tech support plan (the Value plan) that limited tech support to hours between 8.00a and 7.00p Central Standard Time. The client was informed that obtaining after-hours support would require enrolling in our Complete technical support plan, which costs more than the Value plan, and consequently signed the aforementioned contract on the Value plan.
