Action Appliance Bill's Appliance Repair Inc (former) Inflated Billing, Undocumented Charges, Charged for services not performed, Charged for "special parts" not used. Aurora, Colorado

Needed a quick repair for a water heater. Thought the company was local, but found out later (too late) it was out of state (Colorado).

The service "tech" arrived hours later than the scheduled appointment. Did not diagnose the problem and give an estimate but proceded to replace parts. When questioned what the problem was the "tech" said he "didn't know".

When finished I was given a reciept for the services performed with just a total, no break down of parts or hourly rate. In fact there was a charge for "diagnostic service" which was never performed, and a "special order part" which was not even used.

I stood there the whole time and watched him service my water heater and I never saw him diagnose the system and inquired what he was installing when he replaced the thermocouple.
He told us he was installing a "commercial grade" part because he didn't have the standard part. We found out later it was a standard part I could have gotten at Lowe's for $8.00.

When we called the office and questioned why the service tech had to use a special order part, they told us he used a standard replacement part. We then asked if we could get a break down of the bill and the "manager" told us they do not give break downs for billings.

In hindsight we started searching out reviews of this company, and found out we were not the only ones "taken " by this company. It now seems they have crossed the state lines and are scamming people across the country.

Some Govt. agency should investigate this company and shut them down!
