Active Periodicals Attempted Scam when They Claimed I won $1000 and could receive after I told them about a credit card i own Deerfield Beach Florida

I was called by "Active Periodicals" on May 13th, 2009 at4:14pm. They called from the number 954-671-6946. A woman said congratulations you just won a $1000 shopping spree online. I thought this had something to do with a diaper offer I had applied for online. She said all I needed to do was log on and start shopping after I answered a short 4 question survey. She asked 1) Married or Single 2) What does your husband do? 3) What do you do? 4) Do you own a citicard, visa, mastercard, or discover card? I told her I was married and my hubby is a soldier and I'm a mom. I also said I didnt own a credit card because this seemed absurd that she'd even need to know what I had. I'm glad I said that because she quickly said "Oh well, we'll have to contact you at another time with your winnings."

This whole convo did not sound right so I did some digging online and found that many people had been scammed by these people. I called back the number she had called me from and it rang a few times with a voicemail picking up in her voice saying that all agents were busy. I'm glad I knew better to stop her in her tracks. I'm just worried that this company may try to scam other unsuspecting individuals at such a hard time in America.
