Adam Boroughs AMG LLC Contracts Telemarketers and Does Not Pay for Services Rendered Chaska, Minnesota

Oh. James Eli Schiffer, of the Star Tribune, of Minneapolis, has investigated, and written about Adam in the section called: "Whistleblower" I'll bet James has a nice little file on Adam by now...

To Whom it may concern,

Adam Boroughs is a convicted felon in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Look it up. He served substantial jail time for it. Look it up. He is currently on probation, for failure to pay child support, failure to pay taxes, and theft by swindle. Look it up. Last time I checked, his wife Julie was divorcing him. Look it up. He is a lying, loud mouthed, illiterate, punk, who lives solely to perform public acts of douchebaggery. I made that last part up, but it fits. Call Probation. Send this A hole back to jail.

For those of you that have had similar experiences with Adam Boroughs/AMG/Cap Publishing:

Please note that Cap Publishing Co has also expressed disappointment/disdain with Adam Boroughs and terminated their relationship with him.

For those of you who made sales and were not reimbursed as promised, it appears that Adam Boroughs took all revenues resulting from your efforts, and kept them for his personal use.

Given the facts reported by Cap Publishing and all who have written here (plus, others that haven't), it's probably safe to assume that you'll never see your money unless you pursue the matter through legal channels. Reporting his dishonest/criminal behavior to local and state law enforcement officials is another course of action at your disposal.

For those of you reading this in the future; and who may be considering doing business with Adam Boroughs, Julie Boroughs and any company name they may be calling themselves at the time, be careful and do all possible to protect yourself from being cheated.

My name is Merritt Wiley, and I was mentioned by Adam Boroughs in one the above comments. A former colleague mentioned this website, the comments and the use of my name hererein. At first, I wasn't going to bother with the time it takes to register and respond, but I have a good reputation and want to keep it that way.

Here's my experience Adam Boroughs (AMG LLC/Cap Publishing):
Issue 1: Made a sale the first week of calling and did all that was required or asked of me relative to that sale.
Status 1: Was never paid for the sale (approximately $109, plus price increase revenue) despite promises. Why bother reporting other sales and/or pursuing additional sales if the most basic tenant of the agreement was broken?
Issue 2: Made agreement with Adam to increase efficiency, create operating documents and build-up a sales team during a 2 month period, at an agreed amount of $500 per week.
Status 2: Was never paid for a single week of services, although the process had started.

Here's my thought on the subject:
I'm a performance based person who excels in a collaborative, team based environment. I expect a certain level of performance from an employer (or contractor of my services). Namely; payment in a timely fashion, honesty, forthright communication and responsibility for identifying/resolving issues of concern between all parties.

As far as I'm concerned the debts described are valid and owed. If Adam wants to honor the obligations and professional spirit I contributed, that would be welcomed - and I'll report those actions anyplace he wants me too. Meanwhile, however, I've moved on and don't expect him to be the honorable person I initially thought he was. Time is money, and I do not want to waste either.

Adam, I have removed you from my Skype contacts, but all other contact information remains the same, should you wish to identify and advocate an amicable resolution.

Sounds like there's plenty of victims to choose from. Hopefully they will all join in here, and other places, to share their experiences with you.

Did you double post to try and give your statements more credibility, or are you as inept at making a basic posting as you are in business?

Also, have you now added petty crimes with low dollar value to you bag of tricks, or were your statements intended to trivialize the the harm you impose on people?

If you're an investor - make sure the deal is done before giving Adam money. If you're a plumber, make sure you collect fees upfront before doing repairs. If your a school, make sure you get the full tuition before allowing his kids in class. If your an employee, make sure you get your salary two weeks in advance of performing work. If your a restaurant, keep an eye on this guy so he won't run out on the bill. If you're a grocery store, charge him for all the food beverages he consumes while walking your aisles. If you're a department store, watch what he takes into the fitting rooms.

Oh, golly gee - how did that get into my pocket? I know - somebody must have putting there without me knowing !!!  More of the same old, same old smoke screens.

If you're a victim - write about your experiences - it seems like there's lots of different business disputes going on with this guy - even he admits that! ...... and his replies/excuses are always the same - boo hoo hoo, it's somebody else's fault or it never happened. Wouldn't you rather deal with somebody that makes sure disputes never happen in the first place?

If you are stating that I have wronged you, or that you have worked for me and not been paid. Then simply do this, let me know who you really are and the sales owed for.



It is that simple, The reason you are on this complaint forum is the fact that you never worked and expect to be paid for it. Will not happen "Jessica or Willey", Extortion is Extortion no matter how you try and spin it. And this is what you are attempting to do with this site.



So come out and let the public know who you are. This way if you are really owed something like the $85 commission you tried to take credit for from someone elses sale "Jessica Hamrick", or the $500 fee you tried to charge me for doing your own independent presentation package "Willey Merrit" then have the intestinal fortitude to say it your self. 



A legal team will address the slanderous statements made by this individual/individuals of this unsubstantiated claim. Defamation of our company or our clients will not be tolerated and will be

addressed in the appropriate legal manner. Extortion even by the internet will not be tolerated.

There are numbers of complaints about you over the years. Some are reported on the internet, some are reported by local newspapers, others are filed elsewhere. The point is, there plenty of independent sources of information on you. That's likely to grow, which is normal too - fellow victims tend to speak up when they see they're not alone.

Personally, your repeated claims of being falsely "accused" have become boring, boring, boring. More than that, it obviously demonstrates that you prefer this method of dealing with problems rather than simply honoring obligations and taking responsibility to see that others have a good experience doing business with you. I surely wouldn't be wasting my time here, if you had honored  your obligations and been fair.

Thank heavens for ripoffreport - it surely helps potential victims avoid trouble and lets everybody else make up their own mind after reviewing the facts.

I just got a comment from Adam Boroughs complaining about being falsely accused. HAH !!!!

When doing research, it appears this is how Adam Boroughs dealt with other complaints in pas as well. As they say in the police world - it's his M.O. - he complaints that he is being falsely accused and questions how he can get rid of the complaints.

All I have to say is this - you hurt me and my family - it's about time people started writing and warning other innocents, so you cannot hurt them also!

This Report is completely false, the work at home program was a complete disaster and was shut down before it's beta testing was completed "2-01-2012 to 3-10-2012", as none of the agents that where hired  as 1099 Independent Work at Home Representatives completed the required calling duties, assigned restaurants or sales.

I cannot believe that Rip Off report does not screen the complaints before they are posted, it is obvious that this poster is fake, as well as the second post "Cynthia" is fake as well. This is a gross attack that is unwarranted, and completely 100% false. If there is a legitimate sales rep that completed there calling schedule "daily and weekly", communicated daily with management, made 75 calls per day, made sales , completed projects with a minimum of "4" sales and collected payments from there Advertisers. You are more than welcome to contact me. 

I have never had a Work at Home Rep named "Mike" sign up or complete training during the 40 day test of this program. I will be glad to provide the Independent Contractor Agreement and all required paperwork for any person to start calling to Rip Off report to solve and remove this blatant attack.  

Cap Indoor Advertising has been around for 30+ years and has a A+ BBB Rating. Not to mention great products as well as great owners.


 

I just filed a report on this guy for his shady real estate practices.

Imagine my surprise as I was browsing the ripoffreport webite, only to find out that the very same person I filed a complaint against is also a crooked telemarketer!!!!

I'm sorry for your losses and I would hope there are no other victims, but I suspect there is. I couldn't find it just now, but I read and article published by the Star Tribune which reported that Adam Boroughs did the same thing to others that he did to me.

I hope people do a little research before doing business with people like Adam Boroughs.
