Adapt Language Services is a fraudulent company that cheats translators. Juliette Dinhs chicanery goes as follows: offer a translation job; when completed, accuse the translator of substandard work and dont pay. If pressured, offer 50%. I am certified, have translated and proofread for 20 years. When I saw the proofread copy of my work, my jaw droppedit was all red. I soon realized it was 99% fake: 1% of reasonable remarks (by a proofreader?) and 99% of fabricated ones (by Juliette Dinh?).

Some remarks were grammatically wrong, others awkward substitutes of synonyms. To justify her claim that my work was bad, Dinh sent me the proofreaders comments. They were fake, too, having nothing to do with me. One said there were many misspelled words; yet the lakes of red ink in my proofread copy had not a single correction of a misspelled word.

Dinh simply pasted comments from another project. She did a sloppy job, though. To illustrate her incompetence, Dinh did another sloppy job at the Better Business Bureau site. Responding to my complaint there, she pasted her earlier response to another translators complaint. Poor thing, she didnt notice she was responding to a man calling him she and her. The a**s ears stick out yet again. Translators, BEWARE.

Adapt use HUMAN TRANSLATION not software translation! Translator Eugene Alper used machine translation such as GOOGLE and her work was rejected for POOR TRANSLATION!

AUTHOR: Juliette Dinh - (United States of America)

At Adapt we do not use software translation, we use HUMAN TRANSLATION!

Eugene Alper used machine translation such as google translation ! Having reviewed the work of quite a lot of translators, Eugene Alper pretend to be a native speaker of the target language when she is not!

She has provided a very poor translation, we have justified all her errors and she refused to comments on her errors and help with the revisions in order to fix those issues. Here are all her typical errors:

1) Errors produced cannot be fixed by our proofreader; only by retranslation. She did not read the text but just reads the words, resulting in a failure of comprehension. This type of error usually occurs when translator used a software that translated the text word by word.

2)She pretend to be a native speaker while she is not.  We had two proofreaders reviewing her translation and both of them confirm that she is a non-native speaker. Translation was
written in the wrong genre (technical terms not used correctly). Literal unadapted translation, poor writing style, bad command of comparative idiomacity and phrasality, no flow, no coherence. Briefly, typical amateur errors.

False accusations from a translator who has provided a very poor translation!

AUTHOR: Juliette Dinh - (United States of America)

On 9/27/2011 Eugene Alper has provided us with a VERY POOR TRANSLATION which has been proofread and edited by another translator. Our proofreader has made changes ALMOST EVERYWHERE which was marked in RED and as she could
see, nearly the whole translation needed to be re-done. The work she provided needed a COMPLETE RE-TRANSLATION and we suspect she has used GOOGLE TRANSLATION or some kind of software.

After we send her translation back proofread and edited, we have asked her to comment on those errors but she refused to do so and ignore our request.

Hence, we have requested a 50% discount on the project she translated since only half translated file was usable.

As specified in our contractual agreement with her: we request our translator to meet reasonable commercial standards for professional human translation (i.e. human translation by a bilingual translator with reasonable skill in translating the concepts and terminology of industry-specific text).

We reserves the right to reject any materials that does not meet reasonable quality standard and the deliverable needs a complete re-translation and/or unusable. In this case, ALS will withhold payment and will not use content.

Adapt has always paid its translators and it is the first time that we receive SUCH FALSE ACCUSATION. This is the first time that we have used Eugene Alper for a translation project and we did not expect such poor quality translation.

Adapt still have the intention to pay Eugene Alper for half the translated work we were able to use. We are still waiting for her revised invoice at this point.

Juliette
