Adele Services Bank Fraud Millwood New York

I've been hit with what seems to be a national scam. It seems some company called Adele Services of Millwood, NY is making small unauthorized charges to peoples credit and debit cards. The amounts are small ranging from .21-.27 cents so many folks many not even notice they've been ripped off. No way to know yet how these scammers got hold of people's account numbers. In my case you'd have to go through my .45 to get at my Visa so I wasn't at all careless or stupid with it to begin with. I expect its a security breach at a merchant. Most likely a crappy, compromised Windows box or crooked employee at a datacenter. It's only speculation at this point.
This scam apparently started on or about 11/19/2008. The contact info for the domain associated with these scammers is apparently bogus and the 800 number banks have on record for Adele Services doesn't work either. No surprise there!
In the meantime it would be a very good idea for folks to monitor the charges on their Visa\Mastercard credit and debit cards for suspicious charges and report any fraud to your bank ASAP. I've already been on the phone to my bank's, Wachovia, Fraud Department and cancelled my Debit card.
Local Police can't do much of anything to help since this is an interstate issue, read Federal jurisdiction. So far the mainstream media hasn't picked up on this story.
This isn't isolated to just one bank or card so its a serious problem. I'm reading reports of Bank Of America cardholders and small bank customers getting hit so this is a widespread problem.
