SEO Reputation Management at its best!

Our gold membership to Adultfriendfinder.com was up, so we decided to remove our profile from their site. I went back to make sure it was removed and discovered our photos and handle are still being used on the site. I wrote AFF four times asking that our photo be removed and never received a response.

It is quite obvious that they are using our photos to make their website appear to have more members then it actually does. We have noticed in the past that several other pictures of so called members appear on their lists but when you try to access the profile it states that the profile is deleted.

The terms of use on the Adult Friend Finder website state that photos of members may be used by AFF, however that pertains to current members. AFF has no entitlement to our photos once our profile has been deleted and membership cancelled.

I, as previously stated, wrote AFF explaining all of this and they didn't even have the decency to respond to me. We had entended to take a break from AFF and perhaps use the site again in the future but we will never use any of their services again.

They claim to have 20 million customers, if so then why do they need to use photos of people who are not even members? I urge you to be aware of AFF's less than ethical pratices.

I am sure there are many, many other places on the 'net that provide the same service that AFF does without such deceitful methods of obtaining clients. Using photos of people without their consent is not only wrong it is illegal! It's busineses like AdultFriendFinder that make it hard to trust any kind of E-commerce.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Best Way to deal with these con-artists

AUTHOR: Tony - (U.S.A.)

Easiest way I found to get your money back from the AdultFriendFinder Creeps:

1. Call you credit card company

2. Tell them you never made the charge and do not recognize the site

3. Demand that your credit card company issue a charge back

4. Enjoy seeing your money credited to your account by the next business morning.

It's really that simple and Friend Finder does nothing about it because they know they are criminals.

#2 Consumer Comment

AdultFriendFinder.com is either incompetent, a rip-off, or both

AUTHOR: Greg - ()

I am not sure if AdultFriendFinder acts the way they do out of greed, incompetence, or both. They either don't care how they get money (as long as they get it), or their system administrators and programmers are unable to maintain a system as large as theirs. I was a member for some time.

Searches routinely failed with weird error messages from the web server. It was always questionable whether e-mail was actually getting to other members. The credit-card information form wasn't secure. Paid memberships would last long past their expiration date (this one leads me to suspect incompetence). The profiles were full of pretty obvious spam from porn sites. However, there were real people behind at least some of the profiles (I met a couple of them).

Online sexually-oriented businesses should not be exempt from ordinary expectations of customer service just because their product is somewhat taboo. I think a business like AdultFriendFinder would find more profits by creating a reliable website with quality profiles.

AFF rebuttal does not address complaint!

AUTHOR: - ()

Adultfriendfinder.com claims they are too busy to respond to customers e-mails, yet they have time to write a rebuttal. They have yet to remove my pictures from their site. They have also not responded to any of the e-mails I have written. They claim to have a customer service number yet they do not list it here. I cannot find it on their feed back page or anywhere else for that matter. It appears customer service is NOT their first priority as they claim. Getting customers through any means possible appears to be AFF's true priority, even if it means using unauthorized photos to lure new clients in.

If AFF feels customer service is truly a priority then they would simply remove the pictures as I have repeatedly requested and be done with it.

Don't believe a word of AFF's rebuttal,it's just public relations B.S.!

#4 UPDATE Employee

Customer Service First Priority

AUTHOR: matt - ()

Recently the Friendfinder community has experienced a huge surge of new members. With this increase in memberships we have been currently working around the clock to ramp up our customer service to respond to all inquiries in a timely manner. Because of this surge in new memberships, we were experiencing high response times with our emails, and that is why we have gone to an automated process of account deletion. We encourage our members to call our customer service number if there is an urgent need to change membership status.
