I was with Advance 15 years myself.. though I quit before it happened to me. I saw it many times over, firing or demoting people because they either didnt fit "the image", age and gender discrimination and just the good ole boy system. I spent the first 13 years absolutely in love and fullly dedicated to the ideas and the direction of the company. But the changes in upper management and small minded individuals that got to the top by regurgitating the crap of others has taken this company to its lowest level. Beware of this company, they will not look out for the best interet of you or your families. I would not recommend this as a good employer.

That's sounds like it stems from something you have done. You submit to the fact that your prior employers may be contacted as a job reference when applying for employment. I work in the automotive repair industry. I know an amplitude of very successful and high-ranking women in the industry at repair facilities, dealerships, and parts stores. Male or female, regardless of industry, many employees are being let go shortly before retirement-eligibility....
