Advancescapes Advanced Landscape Does Not Pay Employees Sterling Heights Michigan

I plowed for Jeff this past winter and ended up not only falling into plow routes that I did not sign up for but not getting paid fully for the work that I preformed. I was planning on being paid as I worked through the snow season and after one week turned into another, its now the end of October and im still not fully paid. I have countless broken promises and unreturned phone calls and messages coming from him and im at the point where I feel like I have no other options. Ive also talked to other employees from the company and there seems to be the same type of situations happening with others.

 

Taking all summer to pay me for winter work is wrong, but I could of better handled it if he was being truthful with me along the way. It’s the lies and the lack of communication that has me the most upset. You can only hear "ill have the money next week" for so many weeks before the bitter taste in your month turns to poisen. I feel as if he has no shame in leaving me hanging without a full payment- or at least his actions have showed me that.

 

Theres still a chance for me to become fully paid, but at this point, im not counting on it. Even if im fully paid... was it fair to me as a subcontractor to have to wait 9+ months to be paid for work preformed on the very second he needed me? I feel not. Im also a business owner myself and in my company, without my employees, my business is nothing. They’re paid at the very time I tell them, in full, every week. No if/buts/ands about it.

 

Bottom line, if you are reading this and are considering working with him or hiring him in any way, shape or form... id be VERY careful!
