These calls are coming from consumers checking out these companies either because they have already given their banking information to these companies, had money removed without authorization, are returning phone calls or snail mails from these companies, or in one case a lady phoned to check them out with her cell phone while talking to the telemarketer and an other the gentleman identified himself as an Orlando FL police detective investigating possible fraud.
I started getting the phone number these people were dialing and it is 1 (877) 851-4375. Is there any recourse for a person such as myself whom repeatedly gets phone calls (I do not blame the people making the calls themselves) that have been redirected from a company like this?
I would think that it might be considered a form of harassment by the company as I get these calls both day and night. This is not only iritating just because of the repetition but also because on many occasions these calls come in when I am busy with legitimate concerns of my own and do not feel that I should be having to field calls from the targets of these companies.
I have never to my knowledge had any business with either of these companies and have only had my phone number since September of 05. I would be tempted to change my number but it is already established with so many people that to change it would be rather complicated, especialy as I just did so recently.
It is bad enough that these people are running around ripping off the public but also harrasing inocent people by directing their phone calls to a private residence is a bit over the top. I admit they have not taken money from my accounts (not a chance I would give out that information any how) but the time I have spent fielding their phone calls is time I have lost out of my own life and my own goals and responsibilities.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I do not have the time to continue with these phone calls when I am falling behind on my own responsibilities and needs because of the constant need to answer phone calls ment for their customer complaint and concern lines. This is a repeated violation to my right to enjoy the peace and privacy of my home.
