I was contacted by Advantage Capital shortly after my bankrupsy. They offered to get my credit back on-line with their Member Services. They could offer me an opportunity to establish a better quality of life for me and my family through the process of a new payment history that would reflect positively on my credit report.
Along with this, I was going to have access to the most exciting and valuable consumer benefits available in today's marketplace. In short, I paid them $159.00 plus $14.95 in S&H charges. Before my packet arrived, I called to cancel and asked for my refund. I was told that I couldn't get a refund without an RA number. I did obtain an RA number a few months down the road, after several daily phone calls and operator's telling me that someone would call me back the same day. This began in March and my RA number was given to me on June 5, 2002.
In April, I noticed that there were withdrawls from my debit card and my checking account that I never authorized. One of the withdrawls was from a company called "ephone". That set me back $54.90, then several other debits were going on as well. Fortunetly, Bank of America took charge and credited all the monies back into my account and did an investigation especially the amount taken by phone from my "checking account". I just received a call this morning from Gladys, ID # 158, telling me that Advantage Capital would not refund my money because of something on the "Tape Pool".
I told her that I didn't care what was on the "Tape Pool", Advantage Capital offered a 100% satifaction garantee to all their customer's. Let me know what to do, I can't afford to have this company take advantage of me like this, I'm a single parent and I'm sure there's a lot of us out there in this same situation. Let's get this company. I can't even find any evidence of real people that I can get my hand on.
