"Courtesy Cancel" is a hoax!
AUTHOR: Colorado - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Sunday, January 24, 2010
Please file complaints with the Attorney Generals Office. At the Beach was recently exposed on Channel 31 News in Denver. Lawyers are involved in the case. The company claimed they would offer a "courtesy cancel" to customers who were unhappy with the contract situations. When I called At the Beach, their "courtesy" involved me paying my full bill - just like before. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was put on hold and then through to voice mail. I then called the reporter at Channel 31 and let her know about the new hoax. She called me back personally and said she's heard the same from many other customers. She is following up and getting lawyers and the Attorney Generals Office involved.
Please keep fighting this company! It was illegal for them to verbally lie about their contracts. Yes, illegal - not just morally wrong - also illegal.
