In April 2012 I Purchased a tanning membership for $40. In order to get the better rate I could sign up for my payments to be automatically withdrawn on the 20th of each month. I was told that if I no longer want the service all I have to do is call and cancel and there wouldn't be any issues.

That is until I called in May to cancel after finding out that I was pregnant, so obviously I would no longer need to tan. Cool Tanz then referred me to Affiliated Acceptance and informed me they are the ones who charge my card every month.

After immediately calling this company they told me I couldn't "cancel" I could only "freeze" my account for three months at a time. All I had to do was send in an email request for the freeze of my account. But, since I called a day late after they tried to charge the $40 for the month of May the only way I could freeze my account is if I paid the balance of $40. I tried to explain to them why would I pay another month for a service I no longer need?? The agent told me to send the email and it would be taken care of. 5 days later I receive a call and they tell me they cannot freeze my account unless I pay them. I waited for them to charge the amount so I could then freeze my account and Prevent any future charges. My card was never charged and I was never contacted agin until June 20 2012. I call them back and I learn that they have now charged $117 to my account for the balance due in May, June and extra fees for my card not going through. Completely baffled I explain to them that I originally called and had my service placed on a freeze and that I want them to reverse the charges. She informed no one there could do that and was there anything else she could do for me. Put me through to a supervisor who said "If he could he would reverse the charges" but was not able too. I then asked if he was indeed a supervisor and what was his purpose in the company as a supervisor if he didn't have access to do anything. He then hung up and did not leave any record on my account that he spoke w/ me. I call back and explain the situation again, then again, then to another supervisor who continued to interrupt me. She stated that they sent me a letter in the mail in May and called me multiple times and left me messages which of course never happened. She then told me it wasn't her problem that I never received the letter or phone calls. And since I "signed a contract" and did not comply they would be taking the $117.

I NEVER signed a contract with this company. The ONLY thing I signed was the credit card receipt at the time of my original purchase at the tanning salon. She told me I did and that she was looking at it and since she was there was nothing they were going to do to help me.

I've found every email to all important members and will be emailing them all along with filing complaints with BBB and others. I have never encountered a company to be so rude and unwilling to help or even sympathize with there customers.
