Convinced to join by a friend who claimed he knew the people behind this and that this would be a wonderful money-maker - signed up and got some reports that they had sold some item of furniture, of which out of my original investment of $500, they had put $5 of that into a pool with others to buy a piece of furniture for approx. $200, which they had resold for $260, thus earning $60 to be split amongst 40 investors, netting us each $1.50.  This they said was a 30% return - yeah, 30% on $5, but 0.3% return on my $500.

Since March, 2009, have never received anything other than a few reports about how they're doing so well but all funds are tied up in furniture, paintings, antiques, etc., that they expect to be selling soon.

This is just a plain scam where they say they're going to be turning over your funds frequently and thus making you some money.  They also said part of the 'profits' would be going to your favorite charity - the charity I nominated tell me they have never received even a nickel (5 cents) from anyone called Affordable Affiliates Network.

I asked for a refund but they said that the funds were all tied up in assets - they also promised audited statements but it's now slightly over 3 years and haven't received any return on my money - PURE RIPOFF!
