Out of pocket, I paid $350.00 including cost of tow. On 12/18/2006, the vehicle over heated and began leaking and eventually broke down. After being towed to Tires Plus, I was told that the vehicle had a broken head gasket and that the engine needed to be replaced.
I was given an estimate of $6800.00 by two reputable repair shops. I attempted to call the dealer to speak with the Ronny the sales manager and after several attempts and messages left was told the vehicle was purchased "as is". He was clearly mistaken, as I signed a 30 day warranty on any engine/transmission issues and the vehicle was and still is in that warranty until 12/23/2006. Again, the vehicle was towed, this time back to AID Auto Brokers where I waited nearly 1 hour for the service manager " Ronny". He was accompanied by "David" who sold me the vehicle and an unidentified "mechanic". I presented all parties with the information from Tires Plus indicating that the engine needed replacing as a result of a blown head gasket.
I was told by the unidentified mechanic and the sales manager that the oil was fine. I advised that the oil was not why I was towed and unable to drive the vehicle, and that the document clearly states that the cars engine needed replacing. This resulted in yet another out of pocket expense as I am now forced to rent a vehicle from Enterprise RAC totaling $189.00 per week. I am a single mother on a fixed income and was clearly taken advantage of.I paid $1500.00 in cash and was financed for $6000.00, the remainder of the loan on a vehicle that is no longer in working condition after less than 30 days of the purchase. To date, the car is in possession of AID Auto Brokers, Inc. and I was not offered an exchange in vehicle or a refund on the deposit and/or any out of pocket expenses incurred. I would settle this grievance for an exchange in vehicle without repair issues or my deposit back.
UPDATE: 12/28/06 I received a phone call from David who advised that the owner and sales manager refuses to rectify this situation and that I must pick up the vehicle as is without repairs or I will be charged 50.00 per day storage. The vehicle does not run and I lost 1500.00 deposit plus tow expenses and repairs done prior to the breakdown. After contacting the bank who financed this loan, they agreed to "unwind" the loan. I really appreciate the efforts of the bank WFS Financial and Nicholas the Collections agent. I am forever grateful for his assistance. I did lose the deposit money from the dealer BUT the dealer has to buy the car back from the bank ( over 6k )which serves them right for ripping me and others like me off. A rep from AID did call me back on 12/29 after finding out that I will be unwinding with the bank to offer me a replacement vehicle. And I am sure that this is because they realize that they are now at a loss for 6k.I attempted to get replaced on Tues 12/26 but was only told to trade for a more expensive vehicle= more money down. Fool me once shame on me...attempt to fool me twice...shame on you. I will persue legal action to get my money back and tell EVERYONE that I know not to deal with this company. Aid Auto Brokers, you STINK and I am not the only irrate customer that smells you.

I can't understand the false rebuttals from AID

POSTED: Tuesday, January 15, 2013Look them up on BBB and you'll find many of these same stories/different customers.
Ps: the sales person verbally stated 30 day warranty and I had my partner there to witness it. But then again, aid will probably deny that as well bc they are excellent at that!

POSTED: Monday, January 14, 2013I took the car to Mercedes to get an oil change and have a headlight bulb replaced that was blown out. Upon receiving my car back the dealership tried to charge me over $400 dollars to replace a bulb that was supposed to covered by the warranty. When I asked why they told me that the front bumper was screwed into the frame of the car and the headlight was attached to it. That voided the warranty and caused them to charge me. Luckily I was able to get out of the charge because they did not notify me of the cost prior to repairing it.
I then went to AID for some answers and everybody gave me the runaround. Eventually I spoke to the the manager, they offered to buy the car back for $18000. The loan for the car was almost $29000. I did everything I could to get them to admit their guilt, negligence and correct the situation but nothing was done.
I traded the car into a Lexus dealership and when I explained the situation, the best they could give me was $22000. I was out of pocket almost $7000 that I had to put down to eat the negative equity, plus another $3000 to put down on the Lexus that I bought to replace the C300 & the initial down payment to get the C300.
All in all, it amazes me that these people are still in business as I have heard and read all of these stories all too often.

POSTED: Friday, September 07, 2012We try to make sure every vehicle is in great working condition we do however offer ext warranties on all of our vehicles and offer them to the customer because a car is a man made product and they will break down. We do not now nor have we ever offered a 30 day warranty through our dealership. I wish we could have done more for her but we checked out the vehicle, her mechanic checked out the vehicle and we did offer her an ext warranty.
We have been in business a long time and treat everyone of our customers with the utmost respect and dignity........
