This is one of the worst experience I have had.It started like this: 1)After shopping for camera on web came across what it looked like LEGITIMATE USA based web sale company. I say legitimate because it did have USA based phone number. Since it was weekend I could not call . Price listed was lowest and no shipping charge. That was catch No1. When selected a Free Shipping it does not tell you how long it will take you to get the product. Reason for that is they dont want to disclose that product is being shipped from overseas (China) and not from USA where it would be subject to USA inspection and USA standards. Not knowing this I placed the order on 7/21/12 at 11:20 PM.
2) Four days later I did not get my shipping confirmation so I drop e mail asking CS about it and asking from where it is being shipped. In reply CS did not answer my direct question but rather instructed me to call CS by phone. So you as customer are not being told up front that it takes 4-5 days to process and then 10-15 days to receive the product. If you would know this up-front most likely it would prompt question of product origin. Once you would find out that it is coming from China a lot of people would rather pay $60-70 more and get it from USA where it will be guaranteed authenticity of the product.
3) Since I did not get answer from CS to my e mail I have called CS service and dialed extension number I was told to use. Nobody answered for 22 min. Then I called same number again without dialing extension and sales
rep Mr. Tom answered phone in following manner:
"Yes"..."Hold On".."Yes".. silence There was no customary polite and professional greeting . That made me upset. Short
discussion with sales rep ended up , without telling me first ,being transferred his Sales Supervisor who immediately tried to intimidate me by saying that I was not polite with his rep and immediately offering that my order can be
canceled. He would not even allow to be explained . All that is well designed formula where some people would just give up. When he realized that he got wrong person he first tried to say that I will have my confirmation today or latest tomorrow. When I insisted to know from where product is originated he said " Originated Japan and shipping
from China ,adding how product is original Japanese made. It sure does not make commercial sense to make item in Japan and then ship it to China and store it there and then resell for USA and other markets. In fact most likely major
parts are possibly Japanese and other Chinese and probably assembled in China as well. That is why price is bit lower. After I managed to tell that when received I will take the product (camera) to professional camera shop and have
them evaluate the product sales manager went back to say I am going to cancel your order. Sales manager realized that I am not liking his attitude so he said further " Yes I threatened you that I will cancel your order". Then I asked him in disbelieve .. quote .."Are you threatening me " and he said "Yes and added "Your order now has been cancelled" and then he hang up the phone on me.
4) After all that , I have sent e mail to CS , advising them that I will post my NIGHTMARE experience
with Ajrichies and their employees on all major blogs and as well I will report this to my CC company and BBB.
5)Shortly after that I got e mail from sales providing me with , what was supposed to be a
CANCELLATION of my order as told by sales manager , order and shipping confirmation .
This is totally contrary to what I have been told by unprofessional ,arrogant not very smart in his action, sales supervisor.
5) I am calling CC Co tonight and will make sure that all is being cancelled and I will shortly be posting this story on blogs and WP and tomorrow will make sure that my story reaches BBB and others of concern.
Bottom line is , do not buy anything from any company that is acting like this .Always make sure to ask them in written form from where your items are being shipped from? How long it will take to get to you? Be mindfull buying anything made in China .Do not buy unless you can confirm ORIGIN of your product and warranty coverage. I truly
hope that my experience with Ajrichies will help others in making their better decision.
