Mr. Alex Rodriguez, from California Grills and Spas and now Extreme Kitchens, Grills and Spas, signed a contract with me in March, 2008, for the construction of an outdoor kitchen. He initially took more than $16,000, with the promise that he would finish the work by late June, 2008.
After some initial work (placing the cement floor and building a tiki-hut), he disappeared. He would not answer phone calls or e-mails. His voice mail was always full and would not take any more messages. If we used other phone numbers that he would not recognize, he would answer the phone, to give a bogus excuse and promise that the work would continue within a few days. Those were more lies.
When we got to the internet to get other means of contacting this individual, I found (through Ripoff.com and other websites) that this guy has been doing the same m.o. to many others in Miami and Broward Counties.
We have started a criminal and civil suit against this individual. Through police intervention, he signed an affidavit promising to finish the work by September 30th., but again lied about it and again disappeared. We now have given control to our attorneys, to try to recover the money he owes us.
Alex Rodriguez should not be trusted.

Dr.L did have California Grills begin his job. However, after changes were made and agreed. Dr.Linares made the desided not to continue with the work. We contacted both Dr.L and his wife. The both replied in the same manner. There is large outstanding blance. This customer is only missing the equipment which he did not pay for. The tiki hut that he wanted and paid for was built. The Island was built. The slab that he requested and paided for was built. The granite that he selected was also installed. Missing at this point is approx. $3,000.00 in equipment and floor tile which he was to pay for. We would then install it.

ALEX HAS MORE THAN 15 SMALL CLAIMS IN COURT RIGHT NOW PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH HIM. ALEX STILL OWES SOME EX-EMPLOYEES MONEY FOR THEIR WORK. MY HUSBAND USED TO WORK FOR ALEX & WE KNOW ALL THE SCAMS HE DOES.
