What a nightmare. Recommended this company to my daughter because of a previous good experience. Crew showed up and refused to move hanging clothes and didn't take the time to wrap any fragile furniture in blankets. They did wrap the furniture that we didn't need and gave to them.

Upon arrival at new house - they charged in with the furniture and damaged every door frame and scraped all of the walls - never once pulling out padding like their ad claims. They dropped a new washing machine three feet from the truck door because "they didn't need to use the ramps". Dropped the new bedroom furniture, cramming the drawer handles into the wood. Broke the pedestal off of the dining room table. When I asked them to assemble the bed (as their rep promised) they told me they would if I would do something for them - like lunch. What a total disappointment.

Filing a claim with this company was like pulling teeth. Left over a dozen messages and spent countless hours on hold and never received a call back. For all the damage and destruction, they settled the claim for under $400 on $8,000 worth of damage. Where I used to recommend All My Sons to everyone, I now spend the time telling everyone the horror story so they too won't be taken in by printed ads and websites that are nothing but false advertising.

This company is so friendly, until you have a complaint. Not sure they even have a real, on-site owner/operator. The office personnel play games by putting all complaining customers on eternal hold and refuse to return a call. Sad....this used to be a good company.

With moving season coming up, buyer beware - they do not cover damage they cause.

Response to Claim

AUTHOR: Ron Clair - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 23, 2008

My name is Ron Clair and I am the owner of All My Sons Moving & Storage of Dallas, Inc. The customer in this complaint did move with my company on November 11, 2007. She called and filed a complaint on December 19, 2007. The items claimed were: Claimant stated damage to: Kitchen table/crack, 2-night stands/front scratched ..handle bent down and door cracked, side rail/scratched,washer. Requested damages were at $1915.00.

The shipper, who is the daughter of a previous customer, was made aware the legal levels of liabilty for any damage. She waived purchasing additional coverage. We received the claim form from our customer on December 28, 2007. A settlement offer was sent based upon the standard level of liabilty on January 2, 2008. The amount offered was $384.00, again based upon the standard level of liability as the customer waived additional coverage.

On January 28, 2008 the customer sent in her notorized settlement agreement for the $384.00. Our settlement agreement states " This signature acknowleges full satisfaction of all obligatin owed to payee and full release of payor from any & all liability".

I certainly apologize for any damge created to our customer and am very sorry that she is not satisfied. We work hard to satisfiy our customers. Looking at the timelines the claim settlement happened fairly quickly, especially around the holidays.
