Allentown Window Pros Deceptive Sales, fraud Allentown, Pennsylvania

I purchased windows from Allentown window pro's 5 years ago, and was totally scammed, but the biggest scam was they altered our application to get us approoved! talk about embaressed we paid 20,000 dollars for 10 windows, 3 sliders and a 6x5 picture window, we informed the salesman that we could not afford any windows unless the loan paid off 7500.00 in credit card debt, and we were assured the price included paying those off. when they came to have us sign it didn't mention the payoff. I called and they said that after the windows are installed we would get a check, well that never happened and they denied ever claiming that.

When we were called by Amerifirst about refinancing they said our house appraised at 135,000, I asked for a copy of the application, and it had been altered. We apid 79,000 for the home and had 6000.00 granted into the loan for closing cost, the application said we paid 135,000 for the house with 6000.00 down. needless to say we were stuck with it because they led us to believe we would get the 7500 to pay off the cards and by the time we found out we would not get it the cancellation period had expired.

Our windows now leak cold air from the frames and where the top and bottom meet. prior to that we felt cold air coming in from all around the casing inside, I pulled the casing off to find no insulation around anyy of the windows, when i called I was told that was not their responsibility!! so I had to re-insulate all of the windows myself. I have tried to call them 3 times about the leaks, I have left 3 messages with no return call, and the 877 number goes directly to a bust signal.

I was told and have a written lifetime guarantee, but thats not worth anything if you can't contact them, and when I did talk to them about the insulation the person i spoke to was rude and wasn't going to do anything. So bottom line is, they are there to rip you off and once they have your money they want nothing to do with you, their sales people last as long as it takes to figure them out, they guy that sold me was gone a week later, the forman I worked with owned his own company and was sued for ripping people off!!! This company is bad news, and their product is no better than the ones you can buy at a home improvement store. They have a demo that shows them hold a propane torch on the glass and you can't feel the heat, i wish my windows were made of the same stuff because my windows are ice cold, and I have drafts coming in from the frames!!

Beware, and make sure of what you are signing! keep saying no, they will drop their price in half...I wish I did that, I have been taken to the cleaners by them, fortunatly i was able to pay off the loan, or i would have been stuck withh it for 20 years, and it also caused my home to be backwards in equity, if this report prevents one person from doing business with them then I will feel good about it, and if anyone out there can help me recoupe some of my money I am all ears!!!
