lets get back to organizing. keep our eye on the ball
AUTHOR: Karen - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, August 30, 2006
POSTED: Wednesday, August 30, 2006I did not meet a qualified buyer and I too cant get my valuation fee back. I have received nothing but form letters and nobody returns a phone call, fax, or email.
Want to focus on the intital conversation started here. Lets organize for fairness and let the authorities figure out if this is a scam or not.
I repose the question........how can we organize to move forward and share constructive information? Complaining does nothing productive.
I think we should all chose a course of action and each of us should follow up in a short period of time to the same entities. I dont thnk the DA of Cobb County would like 2000 complaints by phone or letter within a few weeks time.
strength is in numbers. lets get a plan here!

Don't Like a Contrary Opinion - Get Use To It.
AUTHOR: Abigail - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, July 05, 2006
POSTED: Wednesday, July 05, 2006Alliance is not the best company in the world for communications, but they never refused to give me an "status" update when I called or to answer my questions and they introduced me to the final buyer. Those are facts that are not going to change, no matter how much you rant and rave.
I was going to let this go after expressing my opinion, but, over the holiday, I reflected on how great this country was that I could own and sell a business and EXPRESS MY OPINION (thanks ripoff-report)! First thing I did this morning was call Alliance and ask them to use me as a reference. To their credit, they refused because of "confidentiality". I'll talk them out of it.
PS No relation to anyone at Alliance.

ABIGAIL IN BED WITH AA
AUTHOR: Fred - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Saturday, July 01, 2006
POSTED: Saturday, July 01, 2006Both you and whom ever put you up to posting your rebuttal, don't have an inkling on how to interpit contract language.
Its the gravity of the nationwide SCAM, that makes it seem as though victims are whinning. A scam is a scam, and certainly hundreds of victims can't all be wrong.

Not a scam in my opinion
AUTHOR: Abigail - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Friday, June 30, 2006
POSTED: Friday, June 30, 2006I cannot understand what all you people are "whining about". Why a "class action suit", when nothing illegal has been done? Maybe you all need to sit down and read your agreements again. The clients who signed up with Alliance received what they upfront fee was for - a valuation. My valuation was right on the money with what it was estimated when I signed up.
I did my checking up on the company before I signed up. I had been approached by several other companies (competitors of Alliance) but none of them had as many clients and one of them had left their client high and dry without even receiving valuations. So I chose Alliance and I am happy I did. If my business does not sell within the 12 months, I will continue on with Alliance. I am marketing in other ways also and I have my valuation for my selling tool.
If Alliance brings the buyer to me - I will be happy to five them the "Expense Fee" I agreed to. If I sell it on my own, then that is fine too.
If you are not happy with Alliance, then just take your listing away from them. You got what you paid for - your valuation. It sounds like to me that some client just wants their money back, did not read the agreement and decided to throw a temper tantrum. This is a good company, doing a good service and Alliance does not deserve to be treated this way.
