I worked for Allied Barton for 2 years. I worked at a site that operated a hotel on a college campus. The client had to be the worse client ever. They were very elitist, and treated the officers as though we were 8th class citizens. My issue is that I found another job because Allied Barton is a place that wants to tell you what you can do IN and OUT of work. I am fine with following the rules while I'm at work and getting PAID, but I have a real issue with a company telling me who I can talk to and where I can go when I'm NOT working. In my 2 years with this company I earned two 40 hour vacations. I used one of them. When I resigned I was supposed to receive any unused vacation time in my last paycheck. It didn't happen. Also, I received a .25 raise after my first year. 20 of my next 26 paychecks did not give me the raise. I would print out my paystubs for my account manager to correct y pay but it never happened. I have requested all of my missing pay and my vacation time from the district manager and although he told me he was going to get it straightened out for me, he never did. I am now seeking his superior so I can receive my money. This company is only interested in bodies, period. I have no idea how they are possibly a Fortune 500 company. My site would often be very short of officers so the few that worked there were worked to death. Often working 16 hour shifts without any break. That was EXPECTED. Everything at this site was very hush hush and secret. The officers never knew what was going on because all conversation was between the account manager and the site supervisor. The site supervisor would never inform officers that they were entitled to a sick day or even a bereavement day. When I death occurred in my family, my account manager was good enough to give me a bereavement day, but my site supervisor tried to tell me that it was the same as a sick day because the thought of a officer taking off was unheard of to her. It was ridiculous. Between the client and their racist practices, and Allied Barton complete lack of professionalism I just had to go. I requested new uniforms after wearing the same 2 shirts and 2 pants for 2 years. I never received them. When I changed my address I provided that information 5 times and it was never changed in the system. The main office in Philadelphia is a joke. It got to the point where absolutely HATED going to work. Avoid this company at all costs!
