WELL FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS WE HAVE BEEN RECEIVING A MESSAGE ON OUR ANSWERING MACHINE. THIS IS TIMOTHY YOUNG PLEASE CONTACT ME AS THIS IS A EXTREMELY URGENT PERSONAL MATTER THAT WILL ONLY BE DISCUSSED WITH THE INDIVIDUAL. WELL I HAVE ANSWER ONE OF THEIR CALLS LAST WEEK AND TOLD THEM IRA CARMICK (CARMACK) HAS NOT LIVED HERE SINCE WE PURCHASED THE PROPERTY LAST MARCH. WELL THEY'VE CALLED BACK EVERYDAY SEVERAL TIMES A DAY FOR THIS PERSON.
WELL LAST NIGHT 10/13/04 I CALLED BACK AGAIN AND SPOKE WITH I THINK FRED. HE ASKED FOR MY # THEN ASKED WHO HE WAS SPEAKING TOO I THEN SAID NO BEFORE I TELL YOU WHO I AM YOU'RE GOING TO TELL ME WHAT'S THIS IN REFERENCE TOO. HE SAID WE'RE A COMPANY WE DEAL IN LAW SUITS, ACCTS RECEIVABLES, ETC. ARE YOU IRA CARMICK I SAID NO.
I ALSO TOLD HIM I WAS ON A DO NOT CALL LIST AND NOT TO CALL EVER AGAIN. THEN HE STARTS RAISING HIS VOICE TO ME SAYING ALL THESE DIFFERENT NAMES THAT HE'S LOOKING FOR AND I'M LIKE LOOK MY NAME IS L**** L****. HE ASKED AGAIN ABOUT CARMICK I SAID WE PURCHASE4D THE PROPERTY LAST YEAR, HE THEN SAYS IN THE MOST NASTY MEAN VOICE "DID YOU ALSO BUY THEIR PHONE NUMBER?" I'M LIKE NO VERIZON ISSUED THIS # TO US. DON'T EVER CALL HERE AGAIN. HE SAID "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO HUH????" I SAID I WOULD REPORT HIM. HE SAID SO WHAT SO I THEN HUNG UP AND CALLED THE BURNETT COUNTY SHERRIFF'S OFFICE.
I WAS THEN CONNECTED TO OFFICER BART VANA. HE CALLED THE #800-701-2363 AND SPOKE WITH THIS FRED WHO WAS ALSO RUDE TO HIM AND AS OFFICER VANA PUT "VERY SQUIRELLY". HE TOLD THEM NOT TO CALL MY HOUSE AGAIN. OFFICER VANA ASKED ME TO CALL DISPATCH AGAIN IF THEY CALLED BACK. WELL THEY DID AND MY HUSBAND SPOKE WITH A WOMAN @ ALLIED INTERSTATE. HE TOLD HER THAT THEY ARE CALLING THE WRONG NUMBER AND NOT TO CALL AGAIN. SHE SAID OK BUT SAID THEY'D WILL KEEP CALLING.
MY HUSBAND THEN TOLD HER THAT THE POLICE HAD CALLED THEM LAST NIGHT AND TOLD THEM NOT TO CALL US AGAIN. SHE SAID I DON'T CARE IF YOU CALL THE POLICE. WE'LL DO WHAT WE WANT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!! I had been recieving calls from this company for about 3 weeks. Almost everyday I would get a message on my voicemail (somehow my phone never rang, yet they were able to leave voicemail, which IMO is nice) asking that I call back regarding a sensitive and urgent matter. I googled the number and got this page, which seemed to indicate that this company is out to get innocent people who have done nothing wrong. I don't have any debt, but to make sure I picked up a free credit report and called my bank and a few subscription services I use. I figured a business had forgotten to charge my credit card and, when they lost the CC number, simply turned me into a collection agency.
When I finally called them at noon it only took a few minutes to work everything out. The guy asked if I was Jeffry XXXXXX and I said no. He marked my number as false and said it would take 24 hours to go through. I never got another call from them.

Allied Interstate keeps calling at our home
and asking for a Calvin. I have told them over
and over again there is no Calvin that lives
here. I have even told them I'm going to call
the police if they don't stop. We have an unlisted telephone number and I have no idea
