Alpha Multimedia ripoff scammed and deceived by sales rep and marketing manager with multimedia kiosks Mississauga Ontario

After a sales presentation (filled of lies) about a magnificent investment I decided doing business with Alpha Multimedia with 2 kiosks in October 11, 2005 for the amount of $36,380.oo (taxes included)

I was told by the Account Executive, Mr. Peter Slocombe that my kiosks will be ready in two weeks. According to Alpha Multimedia, I was going to get back my investment in 6 to 8 months, as shown in the company brochure that was given to me during the sales presentation.

Once I started asking for my kiosks, Mr. Mark Singh, Regional Marketing Manager, and by Delnaz Dagachanji, North America Marketing Manager told me, that the delivery time was 8 weeks and not 2 as told by the sales representative.

The "Turnkey Business" consisted that Alpha Multimedia was going to provide me the kiosks with: Public Internet Access, Voice over IP payphone, Games, WiFI Wireless Internet Access, Video email, Advertising and all the required software and hardware to have all the features and remote monitoring. They presented me a list of the public locations to install the kiosks. I chose two hospitals: Mount Sinai and Children's Hospital in Toronto. The installation, operation and maintenance of the kiosks were responsibility of Alpha Multimedia, who also offered to negotiate in my behalf at least three advertising contracts. The revenue of these contracts was shared between Alpha Multimedia and me. The promised Total Net Profit per month per kiosk is $2.318.50 as follows: Revenue: $3270/Mth (Internet= $1080/mth, WiFi= 1080/Mth, VoIP= $270/Mth, Advertising = $750/Mth (with 3 contracts)and Games = $90/Mth) Expenses = $951.5.

As of today (Feb 20, 2005) Alpha Multimedia hasn't delivered to me any of the kiosks. Although one of them is installed in the main entrance of the Mount Sinai Hospital, it doesn't have the WiFI Wireless Internet access neither the VoIP payphone. In addition to this Alpha Multimedia doesn't have advertisement contracts signed on my behalf. The second kiosk has not been installed yet.

Each time I call them and the luck to have answered my call; I get a lot of lies and new promises that the machines are going to be fully operative and that I'm going to be making lots of money.

After 2 months of delay, I have lost $9274 in revenues, according to the promised net profit that Alpha Multimedia offered me.

I have requested in several opportunities total refund of my investment, however there is no answer from this company, who is only interested in having more and more customers without a real commitment with them.

If you have the opportunity, don't do any business with Alpha Multimedia and you will save your money and a lot of headaches. In the meantime, I am going with lawyers to sue them.
