Amanda Simons Mercy Cole Ms. Leighey contacted us about a truck tool box on Craigslist. She said she would send a certified check by FEDEX with and extra $30.00 for our time. She ended up sending us a check in the amount of $ Internet

A Sara Leigey contacted us about a truck toolbox that was for sale on Craigslist. She told my son she was in the military and asked that he hold it. She would send a check by FEDEX, with an extra $30.00 for holding it. The original price agreed upon was $300.00.  With our hearts going out to our soldiers I told my son that he should do this.



Several weeks later, we receive contact from a Barbara Leigey asking us for our address so that she could get the check sent out.



When we received the check, it was in the amount of $2,889. This was $300.00 for the toolbox and $100.00 for our inconvenience.  She asked that the remainder of the money be wired to her mover, via Western Union. We were also supposed to take any fees out of the money for the movers.

So we, being honest, thought we were doing the right thing. We sent the money. $2300 to be exact. (due to the fees)



My bank contacted me today reporting that the check was returned due to the fact that the account had been closed.  This check was from a Realtors office.  I do not have $2889. This is unbelievable.
