So how did the business work out for you ?

After attending one of the Ambit-Energy seminars this evening I decided to do some research...since it did all seem too good to be true. 

1. Do your research on AMBIT ENERGY prior to getting involved.  Even despite their "Google-Bombing" practices you can still find some truth out there other than the ballooned praises which always mysteriously pop-up first, and there is even a Federal Investigation into this practice alone.  Very Interesting results.

2. Ask a consultant, on any level: 
What is the ratio of successful followers (their sub-consultants)...to non-successful followers (those who have not made their initial investment + monthly website service fee back)?   Most likely they will NOT have a great success rate, so follow that question up with:  Why?

3. After researching for the last 3 hours I have decided this MLM program titers on the edge of legallity, and any post/blog/comment with a shred of negativity is responded to in the EXACT same manor as this women's post right here on Rip Off Report.  The responses are nearly identical across the internet and its just shameful how these other self-proclaimed "Employee, Ex-Employee, Customer (with pro Ambit Comments)" act in their responses.  Is this the professional face you want to put on for your Network Marketing stategy, Ponzi-Scheme, MLM, or whatever type of company you call yourself?  


***Interesting note in the Seminar I attended, at no point did they describe the future beyond the next 3-4 years.  They kept repeating typical MLM tactics but stated within the next yr....2yrs....even 4 yrs.   Why is that?

I also paid to become an Ambit rep. I did the work that the company says. I gathered customers for the company & two weeks later I received my 1st $200.00 check. I have since, made my initial investment back plus a profit. Ambit has been a VERY good & reputable company. You just have to do the work if you want to get paid. If you're not afraid of a little hard work, then Ambit can be a great path to financial success. 
Also, a pyramid scheme IS illegal in the U.S., but Ambit is not a pyramid scheme. Look up the definition on what the law defines as a pyramid scheme, before accusing any company of being one. Ambit is a network marketing / direct selling company, which is totally LEGAL in the US. It has even been endorsed by people such as President Clinton, Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Russell Simmons, and many other well respected people in the business world today. 
Before ever getting involved with ANY network marketing company, just be sure to do your own research to see if this is something that you truly believe that you can do. 
I was initially attracted to Ambit because of the product, the price of the product, the timing of the opportunity, and the ability for any rep to earn their initial investment back by just gathering customers. You don't need to sponsor anybody immediately to get your investment back like so many other companies. Ambit has many positive articles to read up on them in INC magazine & Success from Home Magazine as well.

I have been an Ambit Energy Consultant and I get nothing but great results from all my customers.

Not only have they saved money, some are on their way to receive FREE electricity!

Just because you were too lazy to talk to your friends and family and got a few rejections with people that didn't want to sign up with you, you don't have to go around making a false accusation about the COMPANY itself.

YOU have decided to quit...not AMBIT.

I would have paid $3,000 to join this company.  This company is has a great motto.  "NEVER SACRIFICE INTEGRITY FOR GROWTH."

$29.00???  I bet your cell phone bill costs more than $29.00 and for your information the web site every month costs $24.95 a month not $29.  The business is $429.  You can't even start a hot dog stand for that amount!

Please, don't go around saying bad things about a company...just because you didn't become a millionaire the very next day.  With any business takes time and effort.  I have friends that has been doing this for a year, and they're saying GOOD BYEs to their jobs.....and putting more time with Ambit Energy.

Getting paid every time someone pays their energy bill?  What other opportunities will offer that?  And then be able to get free electricity!  GO AMBIT!!  CHARGE!!

I worked for Ambit Energy for 3 1/2 years in consultant support. People like you is what made me leave the company. You pay your money don't read the fine print or do any research of what you are getting yourself into. Then when it doesn't work out for you wanna scream foul play. Yes they charge $19 plus tax each month for a website for you to be able to enroll your customers. I mean how else are you going to enroll them there is not a magic lamp you can rub and pow they are a customer so yes you hav to pay for a website it is a business. Also if you do not pay the fee then of course your website is turned off why wouldn't it be. Now just b/c your website was cancelled your $419 you paid was not taken b/c you are still a consultant you just do not have a website and you simply have to pay the monthly fee before the website is turned back on. They are an actual energy company like any other energy company and are not disguising themself to be anything but that. I am no longer an employee due to taking phone calls from dead beat customers whose power was turned off b/c they did not pay there bills and dead beat consultants that did not do their homework of what they were signing up for it took a toll on me so I moved on. I have ambit service in my home still and have never been disconnected also I know tons of consultants that have made a lot of money working the business. I could not do it b/c I am not a salesman nor did I want to put in the time it takes to make the money. You have to now what you are getting yourself into and once you make that decision stick with it. If it doesn't work don't blame anyone but yourself.

Ambit is 4 yrs old. Who quits a network marketing company after a few months.

Some people work the biz for years. In your packet that you read when you become a marketing consultant you are told. You dont pay for your backoffice you are no longer active. You quit paying.. You are no longer active. Second, Listen you need to look in the mirror.. who ripped YOU off....not Ambit. ..you ripped 'YOURSELF' off.. you quit..you quit on yourself..look in the mirror Wise12 there are no excuses.. it all starts and ends with you.

The IRS lets you fail for 4 yrs... and not show a profit for 4 years $20,000 dollars. Why would you not keep going at least for 4 years?

I think you work for an energy company yourself that cannot compete with Ambit Energy.

Also last thing. If you read your booklets. You dont quit.. you can sell your biz buddy. Its a franchise. you can sell it. Why not try that and also dont slander the company.
