I assisted my elderly mother in purchasing a few items from the AmeriMark online catalog. She thereafter noticed she was still getting AmeriMark charges 6 months later. Going back to her receipts she realized she had received 6 months of monthly charges of $29.99 to her credit card apparently for a Passport to Health membership which she did not authorize. There was no clear warning she was joining this membership during the online transaction. I know because I performed it! This is a rip off scheme targeting the elderly (the products sold are targeted to the elderly) and someone needs to STOP AmeriMark NOW! When I called the number on the credit card bill, there was a simple process to canceling the membership, BUT this does not NEGATE this fraud because it only cancels the last charge. This may pacify most people who may think they accidentally joined the membership and call it a mistake, but this is what AmeriMark is COUNTING on and making TONS of money off of people. DISPUTE your charges! Someone needs to TAKE ACTION against AmeriMark NOW!
