I was enrolled with AmeriPlan for a couple months. Every time I turn around, they wanted more and more money from me. Where does the "FREE" come in that I was promised in the first place? I recently cancelled with them and they still proceeded to take money from my account and when I called them, they told me that they never recieved my email of cancellation. So I sent another email to them. And will proceed to send them, until they finally figure out that I do not want their services anymore. When do they start paying for people that you have enrolled? I have never gotten a check from them yet. They are a ripoff. And their services are not very good either, unless you want to travel over a hundred miles just to go to their providers. also on that note i wouldnt even try there services. And if u do get an email or a phone call just hang up. Ameriplan is out for themselves and to heck with the little man who cant afford it. They go on and on about steve luxonburg who made all this money and it was so easy. That is ridiculus there is no "Easy" when u hafta buy leads ur giving money away and not making a dime.

This job is just not for everyone

AUTHOR: Josie - (U.S.A.)

Shelly, you are right everyone should just drop the matter and go on. I think what is happening here is that you may have opened a can of worms with your complaint. Ameriplan has a large devoted group of people that are on thier way to success and they are rebuttaling. It is very hard to work a business, as I have had a couple of business's myself in the past. Money was lost and gained but I had to work hard to keep it afloat. In order to make money you have to spend money no matter how much it may be. Giving up was not an option and getting rich quick was far from true or that owning your own business was great because you could work when you want or just take off. Not true. You spend your waking hours worrying as to weather you can pay your employees and your bills that week.

Selling it was an option and thats what I did.

I am now an IBO and I have to work hard to make this work for me. The difference is that the $50.00 I pay monthly is wonderful compared to the thousands I had to pay out each month for that business. I know that I will regain my money back in the future and my success will come. This is my business now and I will work hard at it. I love Ameriplan.

I know you must have been frustrated because I have been there, especially when there is no other means of income. Unfortunatly you were led to incorrect information. I wish you well in your endevors and please remember that we are all human and we all make mistakes. Someone forgot to tell to submit your request for cancellation in writing. It wasn't your fault.

Someday you will find the right job for yourself Ameriplan is not for everyone. Have a blessed day.

I do not understand

AUTHOR: S. - (U.S.A.)

I suppose what I am flabergasted by, is how this person who's name is C. from California, always seems to be in tune with everyone's geographical location.

It amazes me that with the time she spends looking up people's Towns, Cities, population and housing units, that she even has time to work AmeriPlan. She is always here defending AmeriPlan. Ther's just something DODGY about someone spending somuch time here. It doesn't seem Kosher.

As for Shelley, just because you have to travel to a provider, does not mean the service is not good. It worked good enough for me when Ihad it and for many other people. I have saved money on my dental, where otherwise I couldn't have.

That's all really.

It's a pyramid scheme, get over it--cancel means cancel (to AmeriPlan and AOL and everyone else)

AUTHOR: T - (U.S.A.)

A definition of Pyramid schemes from Wikipedia:

"A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme..."

here comes the part that you focused on so carefully, Frank and every other Ameriplan supporter who really believes that it isn't a pyramid:

..."usually without any product or service being delivered."

And, by the way, I don't think the the people in Montana think that AmeriPlan delivers products or services. But aside from that, AmeriPlan is a pyramid, and you know that as soon as you hear that it's a home based business, selling someone else's product and that you can make residuals.

How do people make residuals? When they make something. When they do something. In business, residiual payments are payments in respect of the completion of past achievments.

But being a salesmen isn't an achievement, so companies make new workers, new "independent business owners" an acheivement. If I bring in a long term client, I make money. But the person who achieved me makes money too. So even if they stop working, if they stop bringing in clients and their clients leave, if they have 50 people under them, each with 50 people under them, they'll be doing ok. Because they've "achieved" a lot when they worked, so now they can sit back, retire, and wait for residual checks.

There are two big differences between Ameriplan and a typical Pyramid scheme. One, is that all workers are customers. And the second is that the pyramid isn't the normal non-sustainable model. Most of the money from sales goes to the bottom three rungs, with only about three percent of the money going past that.

Most pyramids distribute more evenly, so it's impossibly to make significant sums of money unless you get in early or unless you build a significant pyramid under you.

Anyway, most of the complaints on this site haven't been about it being a pyramid (it's kinda self-evident, though it's odd that everyone who luuuvs AmeriPlan says it's not and everyone who hates AmeriPlan says it is)--most of the complaints have been about really crummy business practices.

And a lot of people have defences for this and other stuff and that's great--if AmeriPlan saved you money, or has gotten you out of debt or some other wonderful thing, congratulations. Just a couple things to keep in mind to everyone on here who believes that the people they're rebutting against MUST be wrong.

Frank: "My advice, work the plan or just get a J.O.B. (just over broke).". Yes, becuase this is the only work-at-home "opportunity", and you can't actually get anywhere in life with a job or career.

Just keep in mind a couple things:

If no one had a good experience with the company, it wouldn't have gotten this far.

If this many people had a bad experience with the company, and agencies and banks and government is taking note, some people might just actually be having problems and have legitimate complaints.

Final Note:

No one here mentioned having problems signing up for Ameriplan.

A lot of people seem to have problems leaving. They call and e-mail and write and get banks involved and just can't leave.

AmeriPlan is clearly capable of quickly and easily signing people up and rememebering to bill them.

So it's a choice to make it hard to leave. Btw, some of what AmeriPlan seems to be doing in re this, seems to be illegal. And you can be a big company providing a "great" service and be known by lots of associations and still do this. Anyone remember AOL? Anyone ever tried to cancel AOL pre-lawsuit? Or for that matter, post-lawsuit?

Ameriplan saved me thousands

AUTHOR: Frank - (U.S.A.)

I too am a licensed Health & Life Insurance Agent (in GA) and an IBO (RSD) with Ameriplan.

In plan english, I have the plan, I use the plan, and I personally saved over $4000.00 on my two children's braces. The plan works where my Dental insurance would not. 'nuff said there.

If you expect to make big bucks fast, forget it. I have been an IBO for 16 months and it took me 14 months to make Regional Sales Director (RSD), not because I was mis-led, but because I chose to work this part-time. I receive a check every month.

If you are willing to work, to talk to people daily, then it IS possible to be earning a 6-figure residual income in 2 to 4 years. I may take 6 years, but I am not a quitter and I won't give up.

Ameriplan is not a pyramid or scam - pyramids have no real product or service - Ameriplan does, I know, I have saved big time. Anyone looking for an honest home-based business, this is it. I have been in 6 other MLM's that did not work... this one does. It is easy to file false rip-off reports if you are a quitter who is looking to blame the company and not accept the responsibility for your own inactions.

My advice, work the plan or just get a J.O.B. (just over broke).

I was thinking about ameriplan too! You have cleared up alot of things. First of all Sheri has issues. 2nd of all it is pretty much a pyramid, and 3rd always make sure they have locations active in your area. I wish you good luck with your future and just too let you know i tried sales once too and was awful at it. You'll find something better

Your business is Practically Given to You!

AUTHOR: Dayna - (U.S.A.)

I am an IBO for Ameriplan and still fairly new, however, in my opinion, this business is "given" to me. I have my own personal secretary (the back office) and all I do to be successful is run some cheap ads in our paper here and I get 5-6 calls a day.

I was reading all of these posts and what I see that is FREE with joining Ameriplan is you get your own websites (very nice websites as a matter of fact) And I don't know about the team that you all had, but my upline created a very nice TRAINING SITE for all of us and there are FREE LEADS on it You get codes to 125 of them at a time! I don't do the leads, but they are there. You don't have to buy anything from Ameriplan to work your business.

Sure, the DVDs are nice, the brochures are nice, etc., and I do use those, bu there are people who take one brochure that came in their kit and they make their own flyers from it. Word of mouth - Start with your friends and family. It can spread from there. On our training site, we even have a site on there where you can get business cards for free! There is nothing with doing this that you HAVE to purchase.

One of my upline came into the business eating popcorn for supper! She is in my upline. I think I have found the greatest support team with Ameriplan out there. We have out free training site that you get when you sign up, we have our free dental+ benefits, we have our free websites. I am not one to go out and say "well, I am gonna be a millionaire one day" NO!

That is not what its all about. Its about helping people. My enroller helps me and I help my downline. Our training site is great as it features free calls you can listen to if you can't make the long distance calls at the particular times. We have sample scripts you can use. We have those free leads, we have free ways to advertise, best ways to advertise, and NO PRESSURE whatsoever! You do not have to buy things in this to be successful. You will learn the best way that you are getting people. I have my brochures on counters, and I place ads.

That is working the best for me! I am very proud to be a part of this and to own my own business to stay at home with my kids.

And as for the startup fee and the monthly fee of the current $50.

If anyone has ever owned a home business before or worked for yourself, you will come to know that it costs WELL over $50 to run that business! Thats why I say that this is practically given to you! What more can you ask from just paying a small $50 monthly fee for you getting your back office, a Dental+ Plan for you AND your household FREE, FREE Websites, FREE Training, and FREE benefits.

I think its a small price to pay for something so great! Its all about what you put into it. I have 2 kids and no, I can't get out there full time with 2 little ones, but I do the best I can for now and when they get into school, I will be out there full time! People do this all the time while still working their part time business. They make their money from their job while building Ameriplan on the side (and yes, it can take a while) but once you got it, you will have it!

Right at EVERY single pharmacy here where I live takes Ameriplan and some vision centers, a chiropracter too all take it, and so does plenty all around me. Healthcare is highly demanded today as the costs for care are high and now is the best time to be in this business as you CAN be successful.

People, you can't a person's story on how Ameriplan was for them ruin your chance. I have been through scams and I know what a scam is. Ameriplan is not. Why would these providers accept it if it was. They would not want to be a part of a scam! So, I think I have pretty much told me thoughts. If there is someone out there who have questions, feel free to visit here and I will be glad to answer any of your questions. Thanks and God Bless!

Ameriplan Works - Do You???

AUTHOR: Shari - (U.S.A.)

All the angry, hostile people who are disgruntled because they couldn't make any money and all they did was spend money makes me laugh. I have been involved with many mlm's in the past and the fact is that it does work - there are great products and services out there through mlm companies. The problem with all of them is people! I have contacted people all over and if you don't pre-qualify the people you are either trying to enroll into the plan or the opportunity then this is what you get. A lot of people who want to get rich quick, are basically stupid as far as how to work the business or associate themselves with some other bozzo who signed on as an IBO and has no idea of how to work it smart instead of hard. As far as purchasing leads go - don't waste your money - ever. Any sales person knows that you have to find clients through word of mouth or direct selling - not leads. If you take a step back and look at your own work ethics and habits you might see why you failed. The plan works and saves people a lot of money each year not to mention the tax deductions you can claim just by having your own home biz. Be responsible for your own errors and stop blaming other people. If you don't like it or were not successful then don't try to stomp on someone elses dreams. It is hard work there is no doubt about it. You have to be responsble enough to be upfront with your potential IBO's and tell them that. You need to interview them and be selective. Deadbeats who plan to wait and watch and don't have a clue should either be a customer or not get involved at all. I did my homework and called a lot of the doctors and dentists in my area and they love Ameriplan. It brings people in that otherwise would go for years without any checkups. You are truly helping people get some kind of care. Ameriplan is no different from any other network marketing company - but you have to network. If you can't talk, look like a truck ran you over when you go face-to-face than you don't have a prayer whoever you sell for. It's up to you to believe in what you are doing and then people will at least listen to you. Americans have become lazy and want everything handed to them. No one forced you to spend money you didn't have. Why did you? If you can't see the value in helping people then you don't get it. Until you do - you will lose.

Producing Agent w/ Clarifications

AUTHOR: Julio - (U.S.A.)

Hello Shelley & to all who have responded to these comments. First, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience anyone may have had from these experiences or this company. I wanted to state just a few things and be on my way.

I am a licensed insurance agent in the District of Columbia and have heard and participated with CDH (Consumer Driven Healthcare) or "Discount Card Companies." They are quickly becoming popular, as they offer a wide variety of products and convenience that we in the insurance world do not cover well.

To Shelley, I advise you to write to the company via land mail, and send a fax to the company, with your account number, in AmeriPlan it should start with the letter M, to confirm your request for cancellation. This way if you are charged again, you should have a faxed copy showing date and time of sent fax, to confirm stop payment request.

I will also say to the individual earlier; that yes the building does indeed exist. It has a headquarters, call center, and numerous of features enlisted on its premises. (I've been)

To those who feel that this company is a modern day scam, I can relate and understand your concern. However, this would be an inaccruate assumption with this company. Though it can be misleading if not properly explained, AmeriPlan in no way is insurance!

They are simply discounted cards for service, normally insured. The unique thing, and why you may find insurance agents working with CDH companies, is they offer services to all, including those w/ conditions, w/ no affect of rating up a policy or issuing a declination. You can also participate in other states w/o being licensed.

As for providers not participating w/ Ameriplan, this actually is very common in the healthcare field. Constantly, we are recruiting providers trying to get them to participate w/ our services, as they change like the weather. Therefore, do not be alarmed if your provider participates w/ AmeriPlan or an insuring company one day, and do a complete 180 degrees the next. Our provider list in insurance, like anything else, has to be constantly updated.

To the person who questioned, why do you have to pay money for being an IBO or doing business w/ AmeriPlan, I say to you that AmeriPlan, very clever, provides their discount program to their sales force (IBO's) in the forms of a monthly fee.

In other words, they are paying for the same service that you are selling, as well as receive additional discounts. This prohibits them from the traditional pyramid schemes of the past, because indirectly they are offering a product/service. Again I say very clever.

I also say, that AmeriPlan does in fact pay checks "frequently," but I wouldn't say daily. A person acknowledged earlier saying the checks are "issued" on the day of business received "prior to 3pm Central time," and mailed to your address. Therefore, though the check has been issued, it may be 2-3 days upon arrival. Eliminating daily concept. Still a good deal, but can mislead at times, I'm sure.

In all, I will say that AmeriPlan, like anything else, is not for everybody. In fact, it is designed for driven individuals w/ aspirations far greater than the norm. You will find only a handful of these people in every crowd. Insurance, healthcare, it's a money industry. It's a fast pace enviroment, w/ turnovers by the second.

When you step into this industry, there is no such thing as walking, as you can and will be left behind. To anyone looking for immediate fast cash, AmeriPlan nor Insurace is not recommended. Stay with your 9-5 or your feelings may get hurt.

I strongly advise the IBO's of AmeriPlan to explain to their consumers/members or prospects in detail of your services offered & the conditions that are imposed. I have learned that your companies retention rate has fallen consistently, as your sales force is becoming more and more lazy in explanations. You (IBO's) must explain in detail of the services and how your programs work.

A confused mind will always say no, and lack of information can cause a cancer in your word of mouth advertising. To the consumers or those reading this who are oblivious to AmeriPlan & healthcare in general, I say to you, to ask as many questions as necessary.

Never be persuaded or manipulated of making a decision regarding your health. Insurance, as well as CDH programs, though beneficial, is a very complex business, and requires a great deal of understanding.

Do not rush when making these decisions & always read any material you're signing. I can tell you that AmeriPlan is in fact a great company, as I have seen it help indiviudals who have conditions who would have never been issued a policy through Health Insurance, unless through their job.

I wish you all well, as I know AmeriPlan is a legitimate company and very cleverly designed. I will recommend it. But only to those who come to work! As their is money to be made and people who need our help. Take care all!

I'm and Independent business owner and I like to hear all the complaints it teaches me what not to do in this business. I could have easily been a sly dog and take advantage of people but I don't honesty is the best policy.

Ameriplan has saved my family over 600.00 this year and I have been an IBO for 8 mos. And my members love it.

The monthly fee I was well aware of and haven't had to pay that but for the first skeptical month after that it comes out of my residual.

Please realize this biz is not for everyone it's not easy to be your own boss and as for me I had to learn to be disciplined, listed and be trained yes time and effort. The building yes it's there and pretty nice too.

Thanks for the Heads Up

AUTHOR: T - (U.S.A.)

I am sooo glad that I googled Ameriplan and this website came up. I figured this was a scam, especially when they ask for your credit card or checking account information. This was a red flag to me, since with your information they can remove money at anytime and it's usually hard to get back. But I must admit, this new pyramid scam is very cleverly disguised as legitimate, but if you pay attention, there are red flags, such as you have to pay monthly "fees" to "own your own business." This is nonsense. You make no money, only the company, from the "brokers" monthly fees and customers monthly fees, which are both around $50 currently. A good indication that this is a rip off is in the training recordings they provide on the internet. The prices are different than what they are saying today (from $95 to start and $35 monthly to $50 to start and $50 monthly) because most people probably wouldn't go for the $95 "broker fee/start up fee," whatever they decide to call it at the time. Again, thank goodness for this website to prevent others from falling victim. Since I live nearby the corporate office in Plano, Texas, I think I'll take a drive to see if the building really exist! Oh yeah, Shelley, the "free" is currently represented to be the "certificates for free stuff, $50 worth, to "buy" from Ameriplan to help your "business," but you are really paying for the "broker package."

There are very FEW providers. Y You don't get a discount. The providers that are stated to be in my area do not even exist, and I know because my wife is an RN at one of the hospitals listed... there are no doctors that go by the names given. It's SAD that you people sell total CRAP to unsuspecting consumers!!

Furthermore, as of July 18, 2006, Montana issued a "Cease and Desist" order again Ameriplan.

As an I.B.O for Ameriplan for over seven years I have nothing but the utmost respect for this cmpany. You say you sent emails to cancel your membership. If you would READ the info you got it says you may cancel at any time with THIRTY DAYS WRITTEN NOTICE! Emails don't work. They have to have your signature to make any changes to how the deal with your bank account. It is not Ameriplan that is at fault. It is people who don't read what they are doing.

So Far OFF Its Pathetic!

AUTHOR: Dwayne - (U.S.A.)

First I am not an employee but an Independent business owner with AmeriPlan. This thing in Montana is only happening because of a physicians network that we were contracted with for our medical which I will keep from mentioning. The doctors on their network were not kept up to date. We no longer are using that network and are adding our own proprietary network of doctors so we don't have this problem. Along with another physicians network that is more reliable.

As far as being called an illeged pyramid scheme is totally ridiculous. If that were so we would have not been in business for 14 years now and be members of these organizations BBB, US.Chamber of Commerce, Dunn and Brad Street, National Association of Dental Plans, United Association of Health Underwriters, Consumer Health Aliance, Direct Selling Association and many more.

Our Vice President of Provider Realtions would not of been invited to the American Dental Association convention as a guest speaker. The Washington DC Chamber of Commerce would not use our benefits for their members. I could keep going on about comapnys and organizations that are associated with AmeriPlan. So Montana was wrong and way off in comenting this way and I feel should appologize for that statement. Its fuuny that we have been doing business in that state all these years and now all of a sudden this comes up.

Montana Declares Ameriplan an "Illegal Pyramid"

AUTHOR: Ernest - (U.S.A.)

July 18, 2006

In an action against Ameriplan, John Morrison, State Auditor, and Roberta Cross Guns, Special Assistant To The Montana State Attorney General, issued a "Cease and Desist" order against Ameriplan.

The state auditor claims AmeriPlan had failed to

contract with any medical doctors or chiropractor

anywhere in the entire state, and with only ONE

dentist.

The AmeriPlan web site and some of it's distributors allegedly claimed to have a substantial number of medical care providers, dentists and chiropractors contracted in Montana that had agreed to provide a discount to those who purchased the AmeriPlan card.

The state auditor's office claims AmeriPlan has 700 members in Montana who are unable to use the discount cards because there are virtually no providers in the state.

In addition, the state claims that AmeriPlan conducted an illegal pyramid scheme by selling "broker packages" for the purpose of recruiting memberships. Since there was no way for members to actually use the discount card, no actual product was being sold.

The state auditor's office said AmeriPlan, its founding officers, and one particular distributor, (a Montana resident), all committed numerous violations of the Montana Insurance Code and the Montana Securities Act.

The auditor's office said it cracked down on AmeriPlan under a new law (SB 380, which went into effect 10/1/05) that requires discount card companies to have contracts for services with providers located within a 60 mile radius of each card holder.

To view the actual legal filings, you can go to the Montana State Attorney General's web site and do a search on Ameriplan.

AmeriPlan thinly veils the giant "getting paid for recruiting" red flag here by claiming these are "advance commissions" paid from the same monthly membership fees paid by Brokers that any other customer would pay.

Needless to say, and without too much more commentary, Ameriplan is an illegal pyramid scheme and only people who suffer from greed or who can easily be suckered in will always be subject to such scams.

Until you have been in my shoes and walk all the miles in them getting no where, then you do not need to critisize me.

I have told the facts as I seen them, heard them promised to me, and actually lived them!! YES, AmeriPlan took money out of my account on two occasions, and still no refund. And YES, I was told by a person higher up that we do not buy leads, etc. And as for residual income?? I still have yet to see any of my checks that were promised to me by the company.

You really should not judge people by whatis said by them. Until you are there or have lived it, with your children suffering through all this, then I think that it is time to throw in the towel and move on with life, as I did.

I am glad that you are doing well and that Amerilan is holding up their end of the bargin with you. It did not work that way with me. I am done and I am over it, and moving on with life. And tired of all the nonsense with this company.

Ameriplan Is an Awesome company!!!

AUTHOR: Rosalia( Rosie) - (U.S.A.)

I have been with AmeriPlan for about 1 year now. and all these comments about them taking money not a good company and free are all lies. I came into the company about 1 year ago not knowing nothing about it and having to learn everything like a child learning to walk. I had a fear of the phone. I had no dea what leads where. or network marketing for that matter.

Over time and with the support and coaching from my upline. I began to see a change . let me tell you it was not easy. for i was new to the business and i had to get over the fear in me to make this work. NO ONE PROMISSES FREE with ameriplan. Its work , its your business you own it. But I know most people want something for free. and i think this is the case here.

I had one of my members ( people using the benefits call me recently) a kind gentleman. He explained his sisuation and we looked over all our options. and decided it was best for him to cancel his ameriplan dental plan. I immmediately three wayed hm into broker support and had him cancaled in no time. ( it was showing on my back office within hours.)if it does not benefits my costmers they dont need the plan.

People are looking for that get rich quick mentally with little or no work... GUESS WHAT FOLKS IT does not exist.

AmeriPlan is a good company and although I am not on steves team. I have spoke to steve for advise on my business. And yes he was a little lets say forceful and honest about what he felt i needed to do. and some of the things I did not like to hear. I am sure if i was an emotional woman. I would have just sat and cried.

But Instead of saying i can not do that or this. and instead of saying waaaaaaaaaa I dont have the money. I found a way to make the money through his guidance. ITs is what u put into the business is what you get out of it. My checks are always here on time rain or shine. My residual is continued to build. I have a great support line. and you know something even if i didn't. Another team in ameriplan would have adopted me. We all help each other.

I think what we have here is someone who wanted something for nothing worked at ameriplan with nothing and expected results and got nothing.. and just blowing steam because she needed someone to blame for her nothingness.

IN RESPONSE TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT

AUTHOR: Jeff - (U.S.A.)

SHELLEY,

AS for Ameriplan taking your money, twice in one month, I have never known of that happening before. It is possible that if you enrolled with a lead company, that they are taking money out of your account, even if you have cancelled Ameriplan. Because some lead companies charge you a monthly fee for their services. And these lead companies are totally separate companies from Ameriplan. If that's the case, then you need to cancel with the lead company also.

If it is Ameriplan that is still taking your money, then I do apoligize. As far as getting yelled at on the phone, different qualities of leads will get different responses. That's just part of it. You can't let those people steal your dreams! I have had people hang up on me too.

So many people have the concept of working a job & getting paid every week, but you're so limited when you think that way, to what someone is willing to pay you. A true business owner will understand that there are time that he will work when he is not getting paid, & that's because he knows he will get paid so much more in the long run. A good example is a hamburger stand. There will be times when the owner will be sitting there doing books, & noone pays him for that. Or there will be times that he will be cleaning the place, & no one pays him for that, or there will be times that he will do maintenace on the place & he's spending money out for that. The only time that he makes any money is when that cash register is ringing. I just wanted you to know that Ameriplan is a great business, but you have to focus on the long term to make it work.

Nothing more to say!

AUTHOR: Shelley - (U.S.A.)

I have read your response today about AmeriPlan. I am glad that things are working out for you, really. Now tell the truth about a few things. How many times have YOU called people and been screamed at, called everything in the book and cursed? That is not my idea of good business or good leads. And yes, I was told and also emailed by my upline and support team about thinf=gs that were FREE with this company! But the problem was, they wern't free at all. I can't see spending a fortune on leads, when I have had no luck to speak of with them. Sure, I recruited a few people, but never received anything for it. Now is that good business? I don't think so!

Like I have said before, I am on a fixed income and was trying to make things better for my children/ The only problem was, AmeriPlan was digging into my pocket deeper then needed. All I asked for was a refund of my money since I have decided to resign. Still no luck with them. And to top everything off, they still took abother payment out of my account on top of the first two that they got. Don't sound like they know what they are doing there. Do they not understand the word CANCEL?

I also received a letter from them stating that tey would leave my account open til the 6th of June. I received that letter on the 10th of June. Not very smart in my book. I think that they all need to get together, sit down and figure out how to run this company before it is too late for all of you that are trying so hard to make this work. Somebody else out there is going to have a rough time with this, and it might not be so sugar coated next time.

Like I said earlier, I wish you luck in AmeriPlan. I just don't want to be there amy more. I need something that really works and is hard core before I invest again.

I have no more to comment on this, so for the rest of you, I wish you well and have fun with this. It is just not for me. I am tired of being ripped off for the work that I did with them and not getting paid as promised.

Finding common ground and reporting facts

AUTHOR: Sheree - (U.S.A.)

Dear Disgruntled Past IBO,

I must say that I am shocked to see this report! And further shocked to see what it includes. While I am new to the company, I have done my research and found this claim to be unbased. With very little effort I have learned the ins and outs of this company...plugging into the phone calls is a must (and you don't have to say anything but your name! How easy is that!)

While my sponsor has been of little help to me since I started, I have plugged into my upline who has bent over backwards to help me in my quest and with my goals cheering me along with each new member.

First off....with regards to freebies... sure there are the free 3 benefits with the plans but there are also other free benefits(and discounts)just for being a broker that include: AutoWorld and AW Parts, Dell Computers, Dependable Auto Shippers, 1800 Flowers, Frames Direct, and Office Depot. Not to mention discounts on travel and hotels as well as several other low-cost benefits that several other companies offer including unlimited local and long distance for $19.95/month. This added to the tax benefits that you get everytime you simply go out to eat and talk to your server (who likely doesn't have insurance, and certainly NOT from her employment there). The tax benefits alone are enough to keep you making money as long as you do something!

Now let's look at Marshall, Arkansas....a very tiny little town that can't have too many more physicians than who ARE on our plan. I count 7 general physicians just in Marshall alone and another 6 within about 20 miles not to mention internal medicine and other multi disciplinary facilities.

And I have found that all it takes is a little postcard sent into AmeriPlan to get your local dentists looked at for the plan. And honestly...if they are denied by AmeriPlan then I would make the hour long trek to get to one who IS approved, afterall, what sort of care are you going to get if that dentist can't even prove his state credentials to get approved in the first place? Ugg.....not messing with my mouth!

I have found that you HAVE to find a business that you believe in and have the drive to MAKE it happen everyday in order to succeed. If AmeriPlan isn't your business then find one that you do believe in. But by all means, understand that it is YOUR business and no one will make or break it but you.

And another thing, I have made several calls to people and have never ever been called anything foul. I have found that everyone is interested in what AmeriPlan has to offer and knows someone who needs it if they don't themselves.

Loving AmeriPlan,

Sheree H.

This is for the two individuals that responded to my comments of AmeriPlan. I am tired of all the nonsense with these people. As for a provider in the area, I was not aware of on in Clinton, Arkansas. When I went to the provider list for a look up to see where one was located, the closest one was in Missouri. Pardon me for the mistake.

Shelley,

I noticed in your posts you referred to being an AmeriPlan rep as a job. And you posted as an "ex-employee.

FYI...You were NOT an employee, and it was never presented as a job.

Furthermore, they do pay daily. If you signed up a new customer every day, you would get checks every day.

Paid daily simply means they cut checks daily as new business is processed. That all it means.

I was an AmeriPlan Broker for several years. I can tell you they do pay, and they never force you to buy anything.

I left AmeriPlan for other reasons that involved the office staff and a few incidents of downline mis-appropriation.

Customer retention was the biggest problem. You have to keep writing new business and you have to enroll other agents in your downline. This is an absolute must.

And..FYI...I sold this plan before it was even available where I lived!

AND..This is NOT health insurance..so you should post in the proper category.

AmeriPlan is a Joke.

AUTHOR: Shelley - (U.S.A.)

I was lied to from the begining when I signed up for AmeriPlan, I was told that you get "PAID DAILY". Well, It never happens.

With the help of my sponser, I did fill out all the forms correctly. But never got paid a dime from them. They are a scam in my eyes. Also, I just recently found out that they went and took out another payment from my account AFTER I cancelled with them. Now, does that sound right to you??

I am very unhappy with the way that they do business. It is just not right for them to take money from you when you have already told them that you were cancelling with them.

And as for leads, etc. Yes I was told that we never pay for leads, but every time I checked my email, there was always something in there to sign up and have to pay for. Well, I am not buying, I can't afford to put nore money in a go nowhere job like this. I have been yelled at, called names and threatened by people that I have called. Does this sound like fun to you? No thanks.

And as for having to drive over a hundred miles to get to a provider, well, where we live in Arkansas, the only provider for dentistry is in Missouri, and that is well over a hundred miles from us. And there is no one in our area listed.

Until this happens to you, don't judge somebody for trying to do their best. That is what I did and I got shafted for it.

First there is nothing free that this company is offering!

Second nobody has to drive over a hundred miles to locate a provider. 90% of Major providers take the plans. Numerous Nation Wide Store Chains take the plans. Numerous Nation Wide Pharmacies take the plans. Chances our almost any major retail store takes the plans. Chances are you shop in those stores everyday.

Third at $11.95 per month for a Dental Plan that covers an individual and includes Vision, Prescription and Chiropractic plans. OR at $19.95 per month, a whole house hold is covered with no limits on number of household members. This is a very affordable plan. Don't you think!!!

Fourth! Nobody said you have to purchase leads..This is your decision. There ary many ways to do the business. It's called Marketing!!! I know this is a new concept for you, but it actually works.

Plug into the training calls, learn how to market your business without spending alot of cash. And wasting money on leads that don't promise nothing.

I don't purchase leads, thats a waste of money if you don't work them the right way. I like to talk to people and sit down with them. Present them all the facts, answer all there questions. Let them investigate. Let them know how to contact me at any time if they have questions.

My point is: interacting and meeting people in person will help your business better then hiding behind the phone.

Finally Ameriplan USA does pay there IBO's. A number of reasons why you didn't get paid is probably: 1)The Application didn't go through..2)Their information was not correct..3)No funds were available on their accounts..4)You did not put in your information correctly such as your Broker number, Probably forgot to put it on the inside of the brochures....

Next time double check everything to make sure it's correct. Make sure you know all the facts before spreading what is clearly false information.

My last advice to you is: If your going to invest in a business and only stay in it for a couple of month's and the only thing you did was purchase leads. Try to get into something else, You are not going to be successful in this type of business. You need to Market your business and work at it.

Ameriplan is not for lazy people that think money is going to fall in their laps without lifting a finger... this is a real business and like all businesses YOU HAVE TO WORK AT IT, TO BE SUCCESSFUL!!!!
