There is a history of them charging me 25.00 at the end of the month, causing overdrafts and overdraft charges. But this is not why I am writing this.
Several years ago, I was the victim of identity theft. Someone with an aol address got info on me and tried to purchase long distance phone service to iraq. Law enforcement, the FBI and AOL were useless.
Later on, hackers got into my aol email address. I was conned into the $25 fee whre the salesman stated I would be protected against identity theft and hackers.
i was hacked into....i reported it. Whoever it was got into newsboards and posted horrible things; my windows service packs were destroyed and files lost and in the end, I had to get rid of my computer.
I was given the runaround about the insurance coverage, then told they don't cover new york.
I have a new computer. Now it seems these vultures believe that my mother, who is 88, has an account with them. They are hassling her for 25.00 a month when there is no account that exists. My bank sees through them, and has reinstated the money taken. They have closed the AOL account problem.
But AOL still sends harrassing letters. So I called them. I denied that my mother lives here. I had to....they would have tortured the poor woman like they torture everyone else.
I called them - the people I spoke to ignored everything I said. They ignored about the hacking, the id theft, everything. They do not comprehend that this is an error. They went on and on and on and on, ignoring me. Then the supervisor said "are you saying that AOL hacked into you".....I said you have hackers on there, that is a given. The arugment went on and on and finally I told them to go screw themselves and leave me alone. I would not admit my mom lives here because she doesn't even know how to turn on a computer.
Someone stole her identity and used it but they didn't comprehend this and they went on and on with no comprehension whatsoever.
I hate them and I hope they go out of business, but of course, that is a dream that will never be fulfilled. They want 55.00 and are charing mom $25 a month even though the bank had the card changed. The bill will add up every single month into thousands. What are we going to do? Their harrassment, their lies, their stupidity is endless.
