Over the years, America Online has gone from the internet provider that "started it all" to the isp that has "done it to all". If you think being a customer is brutal, you should try working for them. First of all, they hide behind a company called Teleperformance USA, which makes it harder to find them to register a complaint if a charge suddenly appears on your bank statement that you don't recognize. They trick you into giving out credit card info, then if you call to cancel your account they keep charging you for up to 3 billing cycles. Working for them is even worse. You are continuously coached by incompetant morons to deceive the customers by offering them "high speed essentials" for an outragious price. What it boils down to is that they treat their employees just as badly as their customers. Everyone turns out to be a victim. If an employee does not deceive enough victims in a certain amount of time, they are fired. Also, employees are promised if they recruit new employees and they stay for at least 90 days, a bonus of $100 will be given to the the referring employee. Doesn't happen. The technical support is in the Phillipines, which makes it impossible for the customers to understand the person they are speaking with for help. The agents are told to transfer customers to tech support to "get rid of them" in order to deceive a quota of victims per shift.

I am a former employee of Teleperformance USA. I have to admit that I have worked with AOL and MSN when they had the accounts. I am one of the few people who was very knowledgeable of the system. I was terminated wrongfully after someone actually used my ACD Login and was cussing and terminating calls prematurely.
I was listed automatically as a "NO REHIRE".
The Corporate office address is:
1991 South 4650 West Salt Lake City, UT 84104 UNITED STATES.
This company is very shotty.
I also worked a 80 hour 2 weeks and I was only paid for 5 hours. They told me that I used someone elses login to take phone calls. This I happen to know is that if you use someone elses login then you will not be on the same platform. You will get calls for other companies they dealt with.
I worked there for 7 months and then one day I was escorted down to HR by security and told that I was that I was fired and they told me to leave the property or I will be arrested for trespassing.
I was not even allowed to pick up my last paycheck. They told me that since I was fired there are no last patchecks for anyone that is terminated.
I talked to someone at unemployment and they told me the exact same thing since it was a right to work state and if an employer wants to fire you and give you no paycheck it is entirely up to them. I was in turn denied for unemployment.
