My vehicle was in the shop since January 18th, 2013 as the check engine light was on. The shop performed basic diagnostics. They had to perform further testing and found out that there was a problem with the engine. American Auto Shield aka Preferred Automotive Solutions stated they needed to send out an "Automotive Adjuster." We were then advised more testing were to be done prior to the shop working on it. More testing was performed. The shop was okayed by the American AutoShield to do further testing to the engine . But once it is apart they will need to send out another "Automotive Adjuster." Engine is a part. Diagnosis was made. Cause due to age and wear and tear. No FAULT BY OWNERS. We were waiting and waiting. No phone calls. We call and we were told they want to know "Why did the cylinder fail?" We were told wear and tear by the shop, it has over 100,000 miles on it. American Autoshield wants more testing which is unnecessary according to the shop. Phone call was made. Now we are out of a vehicle for over a month. AMERICAN AUTO SHIELD STATES, "THEY WILL NOT PAY UNLESS THERE IS ANOTHER TEST TO BE PERFORMED."
AND GUESS WHO PAYS FOR ALL OF THIS AS THERE IS NO NEED FOR UNNECESSARY TESTING? WE THE CONTRACT HOLDER FOR CAR EXTENDED WARRANTY SERVICE. WE ARE OUT AN AUTOMOTIVE MAKING PAYMENTS ON A VEHICLE I DON'T HAVE AND WE HAVE A WARRANTY COMPANY WHO IS WASTING TIME AND MONEY!!!
