JUST IGNORE IT!! IT IS A PHONEY ATTEMPT TO COLLECT A DEBT!! I received a letter from THIS SHAM of a company (and I use this term loosely here). When I called the number listed on the letter I was told they were "A Law Firm" contracted by MBNA to collect an account I paid off IN FULL back in 2010!

The first schmuck I talked to "James Tucker" an alias - I am sure - whistled into the phone the entire conversation, while I tried to explain to them, this was a mistake, my MBNA account was PAID OFF! He told me to "fax" them proof of pay-off, I told him I wanted to speak to his Supervisor, he hung up on me! I called back and asked to speak to "James Tucker"'s Supervisor. I was told she was on a call. I said I would "hold". THEY HUNG UP ON ME!

I called back again.. This time I asked for the "Legal" department. I had the PA. Bar. Assoc. Web-site pulled up at the time, by the way. Brandon, (the supposed department Supervisor) informed me that he was an Attorney and that I owed MBNA the money. I told him and I quote " OK - Esquire - Brandon - what's your last name... I have the PA Bar Assoc. Web-site pulled up right now.. I'm going to look you up! Give me your last name before I give you ANYTHING INFORMATION ON ME!

Well, let me tell you - MR. BRANDON LOST IT! He said to forget the letter and if I called back they would sue ME FOR HARASSING THEM! I said "what - I am responding to your letter which states "This letter is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information obtained will be used for that purpose."  He also told me that "I better not be" recording the call because PA is a two party state and if I was recording the call without his knowledge he would sue me for that too!

I AM SO SCARED - I AM SHAKING IN MY BOOTS RIGHT NOW! I told him my brother has been a REAL ATTORNEY since I was 13 years old and no real Attorney would be working at some rinky-dink Collection Agency at 7:30 pm. at night! Hasta La Vista! Attorney Brandon... In Your Dreams - MAYBE....
