American Credit Solutions - Tac Evolution claimed I owed money for an unpaid payday loan from May 2008 California

I have been contacted on several occasions by this company stating they'd aquired an unpaid payday loan from May 2008 for $300. They refused, on numerous attempts, to provide me with any validation of the debt and stated if I did not pay them or have my retained attorney of record contact them, I would be receiving a subpoena through my employer to appear in court and would be arrested. After several conversations with these people, all of whom are foreign and very hard to understand, I was told I could ONLY receive information regarding my case through my employer or retained attorney of record. They call you and ask you to verify all your information, name, address, phone number, last four of your social, employer information, etc. Then they proceed to explain to you that you are being charged with some type of fraud for failure to pay. Just either disconnect the call or let them speak but under no circumstances should you verify ANYTHING!!!

I was then offered a "settlement" amount of $745.75, but it had to be paid that same day. I expressed on several occasions that I did not have money to pay up front but did want validation of this debt and would then work with this company if I truly owed the money. They continue to call, on almost a daily basis, stating the same information. I am working now through the process of trying to file a fraud claim against their company. I wish I knew how to make the calls stop. They call me on my personal and my work number. I have also filed a claim with the Attorney General for the State of Florida.

I hope and pray that an attorney sees this information and decides to take on these fraudulent people, b/c they obviously prey on those of us who've been unfortunate enough to have to use a payday loan company in the past. I would welcome a class-action suit to stop them from doing this to another poor soul!

If you are called and they claim you will go to jail, that in and of itself is against the Fair Debt Collection Act. Not to mention, they are very rude, harrassing, and unwilling to work with you in any form. Any "normal" debt collection company is going to work with you if you truly owe money, so DON'T BE FOOLED!
