American General is one of the biggest rip offs around.  They prey on despirate, economically challenged individuals who have no where else to turn for a loan.

the interest rates are over the top, and the second you are late on a partial payment, they call and want to know your whole life story.  They are extremely nice when they want to lend the money to you, but after that, rude is a kind description.  They don't even read the notes in your file from previous conversations before they call you every day, 3 or 4 times a day to ask "whats going on with your money".

Even if you are despirate, don't borrow cash from American General.  You will be sorry.

I am frankly just tired of seeing banks, cash loan companies, check cashing places, JD Byrider,Capital One or Blue Hippo making a living on people who are poor and desperate.

These places have made a living on taking advantage of people who are already down and out.

There is no other way to make a living but to be a predator?

Why do people in poverty have to pay more for everything?

Why does are Government allow it?

Then these places run for a bail out, because they have completely broke the backs of the hard working.o

They have run out of people to scam, so the Government should hand them money?

Then when these places have completely annihilated everyone, they tell them the are sh## who cant pay their bills. Example a $300 loan that they turn into $950 repay. The debtor is the bad guy?

They should be in prison, not getting bailed out.

The grace period usually just refers to the fact that they may not charge late fees during that time.  It does not mean the payment is not due.  You are expected to pay on or before the due date or they will be after you for the money.

Economically Challenged is an impressing way of saying you can't pay your bills I guess.

Anyway, despite the fact that a person doesn't have the money to make the payment, it doesn't alter the fact that you signed an agreement and you owe the money.  They cannot be expected to just let people pay whenever they want to.  Everyone has a story whether it's legitimate or not and I'm certain they've heard them all.

No, they don't have compassion, it's business not a charity.

I agree that these companies charge outrageous rates and that's partly because they deal with subprime people who will probably default or be late at some point.  Even with that, they are unbelievably high and I am disgusted that our usury laws are essentially all gone.

And no, I don't, and never have worked for any financial company of any sort.

Wake UP!

AUTHOR: SJJ - (United States of America)

Look, you are obviously some type of high and mighty individual who has never been unexpectedly unemployed or had your wages or hours cut or had unexpected expenses arise.  No one expects or wants to be short on money to pay their debt.

There is such a thing is COMPASSION, ever heard the word?  Look it up maybe.

They loan to anyone, no matter how poor.  You always think you can manage, and you DO.  A day late or a dollar short, the calls start.  There is this thing in the contract called the GRACE PERIOD, ever heard of that?  Economacally challenged is like what over 1 billon people are today.  Prices go up, but not the paycheck, no matter how many jobs you hold at one time.  Don't you get it, or are you a Silver Spooner.  Did you ever actually work, or are you still living with Mom and Dad?

When you are desperate..............................

AUTHOR: SJJ - (United States of America)

To answer your question, NO.  I was not dragged in there.  Are you sure you are a consumer?  Are you sure you have ever had a loan with them?  They are constantly trying to know all of your business so they can loan you more and more money at the rediculous rates they charge.  Obviously if you are despirate you take what you can get, however, they prey and get rich off of the despirate people living through this economic downturn.  No where else I know of, except a loan shark, charges $6000.00 on a $3000.00 loan, with phone calls almost daily.  Get your head in the game!  The government bailed them out because so many people defaulted on their loans by going bankrupt on them, pushed over the line by their over priced interest charges, and threats.  Wake up, this is not the way to do good business or stay in business.

Did They Drag You In?

Did Amgen drag you into their office or did you go willingly?  Here's another "gem" as I quote you directly..."They prey on despirate economically challenged individuals...". What does "economically challenged" mean?  Sounds to me like a description of somebody who doesn't have any money!  Why then is that person getting further into debt with still another loan?

You agreed to repay this loan according to the terms of the contract YOU AGREED TO.  And now, you go back on your word because your integrity apparently is worthless to you and you wonder why they are calling you!  People borrow money everyday and people make their payments everyday, on time, everytime.  If you can't make the payments, then maybe you shouldn't have gotten the loan.  But its all their fault, isn't it???

Talk about "SORRY"!!!
