I too have been ripped off by American GrantWriter Association.

In March I sent them $2500.00 by Fed Ex. Then waited. I repeatedly called them to tell them about grants I had found on my own and then was told, we work with them don't worry. We will handle it. Months went by without a word. I was passed from one person to another to get my grant written up.

When all was said and done it was nothing more than a letter that had miss spells all through it and a spread sheet of the exact information I had sent them as far as costs and equipment. In the meantime the land I needed had been sold and I spend countless hours driving looking for a better location and at great expense with gas and so forth. I was also never told that someone over seas was handling my business. How could they possibly know about our grant system over here. It changes daily on the Federal grant site and on others.

I was then sent a few names of foundations to contact on my own. What happened to we will take care of it? None of the foundations were the ones I had already missed out on. Then I was told I would have to contact these companies myself and do it all. What was the 2500.00 for? I could have done a better job in a few hours myself. I publish books and have the programs that would have done a much better job.

There never was a business plan written out, or financial statement or anything else that any company would have wanted in order to even consider giving my anything to create a business. What I was sent would have been laughed out of any grant commitee or just thrown in the trash.

The foundations I was sent by them not accept unsolicited grants. That leaves me out in the cold.

I have asked repeatedly for a refund. The company came back with how they had spent so much time and money on me. I would like to see how. They then wanted to refund 1500.00. That is also a joke. I see where others have accepted that and still do not have their refunds. What another joke.

This company needs to be turned into the FBI for Internet Fraud and shut down and get our money back.

I am still waiting for my 2500.00 back. They did post a response saying they were processing my refund and then came back and said no refunds.

Now they offer 1500.00 and yet I know that will not happen either. I am still waiting for my full refund. I hope no one else out there falls for this. It is a disgraceful way to do business. I could not sleep at night if I did that to people.

Still waiting on my refund. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Ozzy

I have gotten with my bank and they say I will have to take them to court to get a charge back ordered.

They also tell me to go to the media to get some exposure. I am contacting 60 minutes and others. I would suggest everyone else do the same.

These people get really nasty and short when you question them and their practices.

You also need to send in a complaint to the District Attorney's Office in Los Angeles, the Attorney General's Office and the internet fraud division of the FBI. You also need to put up a complaint with the BBB

The company is operating at 3250 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 808, Los Angelese, CA.

To date this company has promised a refund was being processed and then said no. They then offer a 1500.00 one time deal, which we know not one person has received.

They claim they have a signed contract. I never signed one. I do have a personal check they cashed and am going through chanels to get it charged back. We will see. I am also contacting a fraud attorney to see about a class action suit.

What I received from this company was a joke. A child could have done it and done better. There was no business plan or anything.

The internet has become a haven for people such as these. They hide behind multiple .coms and try to rip people off left and right and then move on and change their name again and again.

It is time for people to stand up and make it all stop.

Has anyone had any luck getting their money back?
