On Feb.4th, I made an online purchase from Snapfish. I received my confirmation from Snapfish, and 2 minutes later, I got a confirmation from Proactiv Solution for my "order". I knew something wasn't right, so I contacted my bank. Within minutes, they had received charges from the following companies: NetFlix $18.69, American Grant $1.95, Bid Fuel $1.97,and Google Tree, $3.88. My bank immediately cancelled my card, and since there was a phone number for proavtive since they senyt me a confirmation number, I was able to get them to reverse the charge right away. On the night of Feb.5th, I got a call from someone claimimg to be from American Grant wanting to know why I cancelled my card informaation, and insisting that I made an order. He was very nasty, while made me nasty, and I finally hung up on him. I was not able to get the phone number because it was blocked on their end. I want to believe that the breach came through Snapfish, but I have no proof, so I won't accuse them. What disturbs me the most is that they not only have my credit card info, but also my home address and phone number. To add insult to injury, my bank informed me that at 11:18 yesterday (Feb.5,2009), a charge was attempted by Columbia House for $27.35, and then again this morning at 7:27am for $29.64, again, from Columbia House. It's scary, and the bottom line is that if ProActiv doesn't send me that confirmation, I wouldn't have had a clue what was going on. I probably won't order anything on line ever again.
