I contacted AHS via phone for a plumbing issue at 11pm on 01/28/07. I was called back on 11/29/07 after 1pm to schedule service. I spoke to Cathy, and explained that both my husband & I work until 5pm, and need a plumber that can service us after that time. (end of month, and we can not take off of work) She documented this information, and she told me that if I could get one of the other companies that work with you that was availlable, she could transfer the ticket from ARS.
I received a call at 9am Tuesday telling me that at tech would be there in a few minutes. I reminded her that we could not be there, and that our appointment was supposed to be for after 5pm. They called back at 2:30pm and stated that a tech was going to be there within 15 minutes. I told them that we could not be home. I was informed that I "HAVE" to make the home accessable to the company that they chose. I requested a supervisor.
I did not get the name of the rude "Floor Supervisor" that I spoke to, but she told me that I "HAVE" to make my home accessable when they want to who they assign the service request. That it is their choice.
I contacted a local company ("Roto-Rooter") in La Porte, and they are one of AHS's representatives. I spoke to Susan @ 281-391-4567. They came out Tuesday 01/30/07 to estimate the damages between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. The estimate is over $490.00 just to repair the one bathroom, he did not look at the second bathroom.
I am not willing to have Victor from ARS, the company that AHS chose to do the repairs, to come to my home and disrespect me. I am not willing to have anyone from AHS to disrespect me and tell me that I have to let them choose who I let into my home to service my repairs.
I have dealt with AHS for several years at a few different houses, not by choise, and ended up with the same disrespect, lies about how quickly someone would be available to do the repairs, and how much it would cost. They state that they guarantee results within 24 hours, but that does not happen either unless the results are to infuriate their clients. When my agreement, prepaid as part of the purchase of the house, is up, I will not be renewing their contract.
