This company promises to fix the problems, sends a crew to your home and does only a portion of the work and then it will be months before coming back to your home. When we complained they would send a repair crew for the day as if to prolong the problem rather than simply fixing it. The crew would say they weren't sure why they were sent because they didn't have the materials needed to complete the job? The boss would call to say the parts are on order but it would be some time before arriving? We called Manor Wood (Manufacturer of our home) to ask about the ordered parts and no one there knew of any parts being ordered to fix our home?
We wrote the attorney general and American Homes did call us and we met with the owner of American Homes for a solution. We had the solution put in writing. One promise was that our kitchen would receive the cabinet upgrade that we originally paid for and it would be completed in a timely manner? How much more time do they need! It now has been 8 months since the promise and we have cabinets with no shelves and an island with no legs! Our siding has once again for the 4th time fallen off in the very same spot.
The last time a crew was sent to work on the trim molding of our Kitchen Cabinets, the crew busted a spot on the freshly painted wall in the kitchen? Seems like something is always being damaged as if this is their tactic to get the customers fustrated and simply fix the problem for themselves.
We've had enough, we filed a lawsuit against American Homes. This company has many stores in different locations, Ed Schull is the owner or atleast one of the owners. We are asking for anyone who has dealt with this company before and have had any problems with them, please write us! We would love to include you with our law suite. We found out that there are numerous complaints against this company and for the same shabby type work. They get your money and leave you with the headaches.
Some of their favorite lines: We are aware of our mistakes and the parts are on order", "There must have been an innocent misunderstanding" and "No Problem" . News Flash, There is a problem and they are going to find out real soon what that problem is. We simply want what we have already paid for and we are not willing to settle for less so if you or someone you know has dealt with this company and have had similiar problems whether they were corrected or not please let us know.
